This pair of panniers was bought to replace an ageing, now leaking pair of much cheaper panniers and the extra cost has proved very worthwhile. The nylon mesh is waterproof and sturdy and the latching mechanism to the carrier is simple but sufficiently secure for my needs. Because they are a pair I can choose to use one or both unlike my previous pair which were stitched together.
