Sensa Romagna Special 2013

This bike is amazing for the price, pictures and pro-mo video does not to do it justice, beautifully built bike, I love the smooth welds on the frame the frame has a 1st class finish to it with lovely simple graphics. 105 groupset does what you expect, smooth and precise shifting, great hubs wheels and efficient brakes make it a great buy have no doubts just get one. Merlin Cycles were excellent from start to delivery I only wish I bought it much sooner.

I am totally new to cycling but decided this year would have a goal so decided to do the RideLondon 100.

Being a novice in the biking world, and having never owned a road bike, the first challenge I had was purchasing the bike, the choice is staggering, but I wanted a bike that looked good, had good kit on it and was going to be value for money.

After reading many reviews I decided I was going to buy a Specialised Allez Sport, It seemed the universally recommended bike to buy. I visited a Specialised shop and was totally underwhelmed by the appearance of the Allez.

While I thought about the purchase, I was flicking through a cycling magazine only to come across the review of the Romangna. I instantly liked it, it looked smart, the group set was amazing for the price and the review was great. I did a bit of research on the web and could only find glowing reports on it. I went for it.

I had to wait nearly a month for bike to arrive, I was warned there was a delay on the delivery at the point of purchase, but it was definitely worth waiting for,

The bike arrived well packaged and with a few adjustments (putting pedals on, positioning handle bars etc) the bike was good to go.

First ride I took it on was 4 days after it arrived and was a 40 mile local CTC ride. The bike was amazing, it is a quick uphill as it is down, the bike was really comfortable and didn't leave me with any aches in the back, shoulders or neck (which I was expecting being so new to the sport).

The bike itself is beautiful finished. If it wasn't for the graphics telling you it is an aluminium frame it could easily be mistaken for carbon, the welds are invisible. While waiting to start the CTC it attracted a lot of interest from the other cyclists and really stood out amongst all of the more main stream UK brands.

The pictures you can find on the internet of this bike do not do it justice, even though the bike looks good in them, it is far better in the flesh (metal).

If you are looking for a good entry level road bike then buy a Trek/Specialised/Scott but if you are looking for a great quality, supremely well spec'd, beautiful looking, fast, good value and comfortable entry level road bike then look no further than the Romagna.

This is my first road bike and it feels and rides amazingly!! I've also had nothing but compliments on how the bike looks. A great bike with great build quality! If you are for a new bike in this price bracket then buy this one! Great kit and a great ride for a bargain price.

Absolutely love this bike. It is great value for money, very well specced and great to ride. Very stiff and responsive. To top it off mine came with a deda stem and ritchey bars, a real plus. Almost certainly the best bike available in this price range.

Excellent entry level bike

This is my first bike and I am absolutely over the moon with it. A stylish bike that is well worth the money.

Superb value. It is a fast bike, a very fast bike. Bring on Spring and some long fast runs.

I bought the Sensa Romagna Special as my first road bike and I'm extremely happy with it. It has a 105 groupset which is brilliant for the price and it was a no-brainer compared to other bikes at this price. I chose the black colour scheme and it looks fantastic. It rides really well, gets up to speed quickly and stays once there. Its a comfy ride even on some of the dodgy local roads. Amazing bike for a great price, buy one now

I hadn't heard much about this range of bikes until I saw the Sensa Romagna in one of my cycling magazines. When I opened the box I was extremely impressed by the quality of this bicycle. It wasn't just that, it also looks fantastic and for the price, the spec of the bike is well up there. Definitely a must have and something I'm looking forward to using on my John O' Groats to Lands End race.

Received the Romagna 2 weeks ago and after combining a 12 mile daily commute with a couple of 40 milers I must say this bike is fantasic ! The carbon look frame enhanced with the 105 group set, have gained glowing reports from friends who have bikes at more than double the price of mine.

Even at full price this is a great spec. At the discounted price it's unbelievable. Colleagues/friends who ride a lot and have expensive Carbon frame bikes have all commented on what excellent value it is early days but ride seems good, quite quick and responsive. No issues.
I can't imagine anyone will find a bike of this spec at this price

This is an excellent bike for the price and despite various sizing charts and general advice, I chose the 54cm frame which fits me perfectly at 5' 10" tall with a 32" inside leg.It was very quick and easy to find my optimum setup with no adjustment needed to the handle bar height or stem length, and the seat stem has plenty of height adjustment if needed. The frame quality is of a very high standard with almost invisible welding.
On the road it feels nicely taught with no rattles or flexing of the bottom bracket, handles well on sweeping down hill sections and the supplied Schwalbe tires are a good compromise between comfort and road holding. As is usual, no pedals are supplied, but I would recommend a pair of white Exustar Keo pedals as these are very lightweight for the price and compliment the bike perfectly.
I can highly recommend the Sensa and if you need a new sportive bike that wont break the bank, then the Romagna is well worth considering as an alternative to the usual branded names which are usually lower specified at this price.

Great bike, great price. I traveled to the store and the staff were friendly and very knowledgeable and helpful, I have since been back to buy my accessories. Would recommend to my friends, in fact already have done. Built and delivered within a week. Can't fault anything!!

Very happy with this bike. It's my first road bike (used to call them a racer) since I was a young man. I've been riding a hybrid bike for the past 8 months and this is a different class all together. I took the chance with this bike as I believe Sensa are new to the UK but I highly recommend buying this model. I got a great price at Merlin and their customer service is second to none.

Great looking bike, fits well, runs vry quietly and smoothly and in a week I have gone from a beginner to doing 70 miles a week. comes with water bottle and is fully buiolt on arrrival and delivered with 3 days, great service and great looking bike. I recon the best money could buy at that spec. Recommend to 3 other already.
