Good quality item. Tried cheap clarks pads last time, but these are worth the extra couple of quid. As always great price on merlin.

Good value replacement brake inserts. Not as good as Shimano originals but cheaper.

Good blocks for the price.. Not quite as instantly grippy when wet as the latest Shimano 7900 blocks but not as bad as some others I've used. Wear rate is reasonable too, although not exceptional.

Just about bedded in after 100 miles. Seem to offer good all round ability, both in wet and dry conditions

Fitted these to a set of tektro blakes. I do a lot of urban riding and have a bad habit of drafting buses, although I prefer to call it motorpacing :-)

Thankfully, these blocks have demonstrated excellent stopping power and, as far as I can see, decent longevity.

I have tried them in wet conditions once. Wheels locked and I skidded - so brakes did their job.
