SRAM Red Black Front Mech - Braze-On

Despite a few negative comments around shifting, I bought this front mech. Set it up with a compact chainset, an 11/23T cassette to minimise yaw problems associated with larger cassettes and a chain catcher. It works a treat. Precise shifting, very happy and a great price from Merlin.

SRAM Red is the Dogs danglies! It takes allot to impress me, but SRAM stuff really does! If I could use one sentence to describe their stuff I would say; It has the precision of Shimano, but has the soul of Campag!

Red is really amazing. I rode 175k sportive (Tour of Britain king of the mountain) using Campag Record 11. What a mistake. Chain kept on throwing , impossible to set up and fine index! I was always a campy man prior to that. Needed another high end groupo, before my next epic. I use sram on my mtbs and its never failed me, so went for Red from Merlin, Best bike decision ever!

Red really is fit and forgot, no nervous changing, no chain throwing, and road muck, combined with your sweat doesnt ruin its finish. It oozes quality and uses sensible materials ( whats the point in a carbon cage on a front mech campy!!!) It looks timeless too, so if you like keeping your bike looking fresh, this will last for years!

Just my humble opinion, but RED ROCKS, wont let you down, and is worth every penny... and then some!!!

I decided to swap for sram red black version to mach my bike color witch is black ;) sram red front and rear mech is top quality product, working very good, no problems with gear changing. looking great aswell!

Used merlin a number of times now and had no problems at all. Parts arrived quick and are top quality Really happy and will be purchasing again soon. A+

SRAM is SRAM, top quality and what you would expect. Merlin however, good price, simple ordering and quick receipt.
