3T is an Italian cycling component manufacturer who made their name by producing handlebars, stems and seatposts. Founded in 1961 in the Italian cycle component producing heartland of Turin, the company was called Tecnologia del Tubo Torinese (Turin Tube Technology) which was later shortened to the much easier, for both languages, 3T. They were one of the first companies to produce bars, stems and seatposts in alloy rather than the traditional steel and have many firsts to their name including the first Ergal bar in the 1970’s and the world’s first tri-bar made for Francesco Moser’s World Hour Record in 1984.
3T have a rich history in professional cycling sponsorship with many teams using their products to great success including in recent times the 2008 Tour de France with Carlos Sastre. Top tier professional cycling teams Team Garmin Sharp and BMC Racing currently use 3T equipment as well as many smaller professional cycling teams giving feedback and endorsement to the quality of the product.
