Yeti

Yeti Cycles are one of the icons of mountain biking. They were in the right place at the right time. Namely Colorado in the early 1990s. Of course, it was Yeti who helped to make that time and place to be so famous and thriving.

Yeti have always had their finger on the pulse of mountain biking. They know where it’s going. They know who’ll be steering the way. They always have done.

Browsing back through their past bikes and especially through their Hall of Fame of past racers, is like taking in a one-stop-shop history of American mountain biking. John Tomac, Mert Lawill, Juli Furtado, Missy Giove, Jared Graves… legends, all of them.

The bikes ain’t too shabby either. Yetis have changed shape and styles over the decades since their beginnings in 1985. Their modern day range encompasses all wheel sizes (26”, 27.5” and 29”), ZeroLoss full suspension, Switch Technology full suspension, alloy, carbon, race hardtails, 4X bikes and much else besides.

Perhaps the one constant has been a colour. ‘Yeti turquoise’ is known by every mountain biker. It’s a beautiful colour that is often a big part in why people want – no, desire – a Yeti in the first place.

Long live turquoise! Long live Yeti! They’re a founding father of mountain biking and command respect.
