Lezyne started business in 2007 by Micki Kozuscheck, a recognised partner in the industry and former pro triathlete. Whilst still competing at top level he brought in high quality goods into the German market and later went on to form component giant Truvativ. Micki went on to sell Truvativ to SRAM, took a family break and came back 2 years later to form Lezyne.
When Lezyne was created their goal was to produce premium quality accessories that matched the same standards of high-end components. Today their goal is still the same and in their short history they have become an award winning industry leader.
In 2011 Lezyne lead the way for innovation once again by releasing a range of floor and hand pumps with ABS (air bleed system). These pumps contain a bleeder valve which allows releasing the air in the pump hose after using it on a Presta valve. This makes it easier to unscrew the Flip-Chuck from the valve after inflating the tyre. On Schrader valves, the pressure of tyres is easily adjusted.
Recently a team of 9 in house staff have been setting new standards of design and function with a new range of LED lights. Lezyne obsessively test all its lights using its own machinery called “the sphere” which accurately rates the lumen output of the lights. Not content with the output, they also produce their own lenses to give the best optics for the best lighting.
Lezyne's headquarters are located in San Luis Obispo, California, USA; all of their products are assembled at their factory in Taichung, Taiwan. In addition, Lezyne proudly sponsors top-level athletes including Team Lotto Belisol, Specialized-Lululemon, Cedric Gracia, Danny MacAskill, and many more. Lezyne is a combination of a love for cycling and a passion for design – Exquisite design, intelligent engineering, and functional completion.
