Best camelback bar none, took some getting used to having the weight so low on my back but after a couple of rides, way way way more comfy than the conventional style pack, really handy accessible tool or gel pockets in the waist band as well
Bought this for my son. He thinks it is great. Good side strap pockets for snacks. Quite large - ideal for the longer 3hr+ ride.
Since I fall into the be prepared category of riders, my backpacks are always stuffed with water, spares, first aid kit etc.
I am now on my 5th riding backpack (2 Camelbak - Mule and HAWG, 1 Dakine - Nomad), and this one is easily the best I terms of weight, stability, and space management. For example everything from my 18L Nomad, fits easily into the 13L Volt.
There are only a couple of minor improvements I would make. Firstly, the bladder compartment opening needs to be slightly larger, as it is a tight squeeze when both the bladder and pack are full. Secondly, slightly more padding is required in the back panel, as you can feel hard objects when riding, if you do not pack carefully.
Other than those minor points, I highly recommend it. I would buy another one.
This pack is the best. Loads of storage space, a lot of pockets to organize your tools and general stuff.
The water reservoir stays glued to your back no matter what you do.
The insulated tube work well in intense heat of my region.
The flow meter is fun but I don't see the necessity.
Overall the best pack I've ever owned.
Easy to get it comfortable on your back. Simple to fill, although the loop in the pack that the hydration pack first fits to can be a little fiddly. The main clip does fit well into the pack.
Overall, great amount of storage pockets. Have recommended it to someone that i work with. Well worth the price
Everything that I had been looking for in a light weight cycling pack. Has improved the issue with excessive back sweat. Made mountain rides more enjoyable
