The Castelli wool socks are the ideal choice for long winter rides in cold and windy conditions. With its softness, merino wool keeps your feet warm and comfortable while letting moisture evaporate. Breathability is especially important for cyclists, as winter months often mean cramming socks into shoes and shoes into booties. Without a means by which moisture can escape, your feet become colder faster. Wool socks are an important cold-weather companion

The best socks I have worn, comfortable and durable, I wear them all the time, I buy them whenever they are available. Make sure you get the right size though. Highly recommended.
Great all rounder sock which keeps your feet warm in winter with neoprene overshoes and toasty in spring/autumn. Surpringly good mountain bike sock too due to merinos ability to stay warm whilst wet.
