DT Swiss PR 1600 Spline 23 Clincher Road Wheelset - 700c

Comfort and speed combined. The PR 1600 SPLINE 23 fits perfectly with the new breed of wider road tyre. These wheels bring comfort in the saddle and more grip even when the road turns rougher. The result is a faster, more relaxed ride. Together with the laterally stiff build which uses high-end bladed spokes, the PR 1600 SPLINE 23 lets you tackle even the last climb of the day with enough energy to enjoy the looks of the hubs and to plan your next big ride.

Mr KuslerThis is a great value in a wheelset. The DT350 hubs are bullet proof. I've had them on other wheelsets. The wheelset is relatively light and has very good lateral stiffness. The hubs spin smoothly. The internal diameter is wide enough to accommodate gravel tires. I'm running 40mm wide maxxis ramblers. These are a great option for those with a gravel bike that still has rim brakes. They would also make a great road wheel for those running wider tires. Very pleased.
DanielThese wheels are great, fast, light, spin up quickly and are stiff with my 16st on the bike. The hubs are quiet and they look great.
MatthewAwesome wheelset, feel fast and solid, nice weight and great price
ChristopherGreat quality wheels. Set them up tubeless with Continental GP5000's with no problems at all. Not ridden on them yet due to the weather so can't comment on how they feel on the road. Usual great service from Merlin I've come to rely on.
PackExcellent wheelset. I am faster than my previous average paces, even when dealing with strong headwinds. Very smooth rolling, and hubs are quiet; no annoying howling pawls like some hubs. Thanks to Merlin also for quick service and great prices.
Mr WaldmanI've only ridden on these wheels a couple times so far (only 50 miles total) but I put them through a very challengeing descent and climb and long straight sections. I like them. they seem to absorb vibration a little more the Mavic Askyums I used before. The wider rims give me a little more sense of road control and the turns (it may be just psychological). i read a review of this wheelset before making my purchase. the reviewer did not like the QR levers , or what DT call 5mm quick releases. I didn't know what those were until i got the wheels in hand. but I like them . I think it they work great. I abandoned Mavic and bought this wheel set because i was tired of the pawl system of engagment on the rear hubs. I wore out a couple of rear wheels already because the pawls would break and destroy the hub. i want to try this ratchet system and because DT Swiss PR 1600s got such great reviews and were comparable in price to the Mavic wheels I decided to try them. I like them so far.
Mike BAmazing training wheels and an amazing price. I was torn between these and the Mavic Kysrium Elites, but I’m happy I went this route. Much better hub and compatible with more tubeless tires, like the Continental GP 5000’s.
Mr YEUNGGood value for money! A true tubeless ready wheel set which come with everything you will need!
Mr PERRY USAGreat wheelset at a even better price. For a factory built box wheelset it is a great price point. I had the DT Swiss PR 1800 with the three pawl system until a pot hole knocked the rims out of commission. Waited for Merlin Cycles to restock these bad boys and pulled the trigger. The Swiss built a great wheelset with those star ratchet 350 hubs. Nice quick engagement and silent hubs. DT makes maintenance easy when the time comes to keep things running smoothly. Highly recommended wheelset for price point.
Darwin KusumaThese wheels are perfect for my daily commutes, training and casual group rides. I weigh 185 lbs and they feel both stiff and comfortable with 20/24 front/rear spokes. The DT Swiss 350 hub feels smooth and picks up the speed pretty fast (I also made a little upgrade to 54T ratchet for louder hub sound). You can surely get other lighter wheels out there but at this price point (< 300 GBP), and considering DT Swiss parts can be commonly found around, I would really recommend them.
