General information about our shipping
This frame is a deal at triple the price. I have built this up and am very impressed with the quality of the product. One note is that all threaded areas need to be chased with a tap, especially the bottom bracket. You cannot directly assembly this frame. Excellent product.
Great service from Merlin and excellent shipping with track and trace. Purchased the 62 cm in white with the S bend rear stays and the TT is 570 mm with a head tube length of 210 mm without any headset fittings. The frame looks well with stylish graphics. The frame requires a band-on front mech or a braze on adapter, barrel adjusters, seatpost collar and a British standard BB. Headset size is a campagnolo 45/45 style. Paint quality is good, but have the bottom bracket faced and chased with Merlin or your local bike shop to ensure correct BB fitting. I have fitted the frame with a carbon fork and carbon seat pin and as with most aluminium frames the ride is "firm". Overall a great value training frame for the money.
A beautiful road frame! For beautiful price! Congratulations Merlin Cycles!
Great value frame. Not the best quality as far as the paint job goes... one decal has lifted a tiny bit...... but for the price you cant do better for a nice knock around frame for commuting or training. Great service from Merlin, answered all my questions quickly and shipped fast. Putting their competitors to shame. Merlin is my first stop now for components both road and MTB. Thanks guys
Fantastic value aluminium frame. Light, stiff, fast. You will know you are on rougher roads, but then you will on a cheap carbon frame as well. If you want to build a fast, good-looking bike, with some nice detailing on the cheap, but doesn't feel cheap, this is a great start.
Great looking frame in gloss black which is easy to complete the build using a carbon front fork. The frame I got was a 56cm which has TT 54.5cm (CC), fits me well (5' 10"), using a 115mm stem.
This is a really nice frame for the price. I went for the S Stays and it is very comfy on a long ride
Bang for buck. For the money this frame is amazing and offers outstanding value. Weighing in at around 1300g I have managed to build this into a sub 7kg bike for not a a lot of money. The finish of the paint work is really good and is more of a matt black than a gloss black. The ride is excellent and on par with some of the carbon offerings out there at double the price.
I bought this frame as an upgrade from my first road bike, and while I haven't built up the bike yet the frame is excellent. I couldn't believe how fast it arrived. It actually got to me here in Japan faster than anything I have ever had sent to me from home (in the U.S.). That on top of the price is just amazing. Will definitely use Merlin again, and probably again and again.
Great looking frame top service from Merlin
Great winter frame, superb value for money and quick delivery impeccable service
what a bargain, makes up into a realeyecatcher even when using kit out of the spares box
I bought this frame to build up a road bike, having ridden hardtail MTB's until now. I had tried an older style alloy frame with alloy forks and found it harsh, but also it was a poor fit. I bought the Gianni motta from Merlin at a bargain price and was not expecting to be too impressed, but I was pleasantly surprised. The frame looked great with stylish graphics, good finish and mainly smooth welds. It also felt very light out of the box. Having built it up and got it on the road I am even more impressed. It's light, stiff and fast enough for me, but also very forgiving on poor roads. With the s bend seat stays and the carbon fork I fitted it gives a really comfortable ride. Overall I'm really happy with the bike and only sad because it looks too good to take out in the winter.
An absolutely gorgeous frame. I was surprised at how light the frame is. Having completed my build I am so impressed with it's handling. Very responsive and secure ride due to the well thought out geometry. For an Alu frame it absorbs bumps and vibration exceptionally well. Decals are a nice touch - especially the front badge. Paint quality is impressive also. All in all, a fantastic frame which rivals quite a few higher priced alternatives. I'm yet to find a fault with it.
