I bought these to replace my Keo Max2 pedals which in themselves are a great pedal. I went for the Ti Carbon bladed version as they're lighter, 198g vs 256g for the Max2's (my scales). Ridden them on a couple of 50k rides and no issues. They're fitted on an S-Works SL4. They have a more positive engagement and audible click compared to the traditional spring type (I have the 12nm version). They are slightly wider than the Max2's and I find this helps me clip-in to them easier, which is very welcome.
I'm really happy with these pedals. They work, they're light and I know I'll get trouble-free use from them.
I HAVE / HAD MANY BIKES WITH MANY PEDALS. THESE ARE SIMPLY THE BEST, SHARP CRISP CLICK AND AWAY. FLICK AND TWIST OUT. I HAVE THE 16 SO CANNOT COMMENT ON THE 12. I AM IN MY 60s and light. SO A BIT SHARPER THAN ANY OTHER PEDAL TO GET IN OUT BUT I UNDERLINE JUST A BIT. IN THE STAND FIRM.. PERFECT. POWER TO THE PLATFORM IS THE THE BEST EVER. PRICE DOES NOT MATTER TO ME BUT ALL OTHERS ARE SECOND DIVISION. ALSO THE PEDAL REMAINS IN THE HORIZONTAL POSITION WHEN KICKED. SO MORE EASY INSTEAD OF KICKING AROUND.
The Keo blades give a rock-solid platform and weigh SO little. I previously had an early pair of look keo carbon which had a narrower contact area with the cleat, and had no protective metal surface on the pedal. They were very well made and very light but the pedal itself wore away where it contacted the cleat. The metal surface on the keo blades should prevent that and I to get expect many thousands of miles from these. Cracking pedals at a cracking price from Merlin Cycles!
Excellent product, very light, the only problem encountered is the carbon blade 16 nm is far to strong needs all my 200lbs pressed hard to click in to the pedal should have got 12 nm instead, I hope this is useful info to others, overall very happy with Merlin Cycles and will definitely do business with them again, even so far away...
Great pedals! Light, stable & cleats compatible
with other Look pedals so no probs with jumping
onto the training bike!
Good price & pretty quick post to Australia.
incredibly light, bearings are good, it's s pity without Logo
Light and beautiful pedal.
The price point at Merlin was a beater, no-one else could come close. the pedals themselves are as I would expect from Look, after many years of using their products. The 16nm spring takes a couple of rides to get used to, but once you are on terms with it the extra tension they give you a feeling of security, particularly when putting in huge efforts out of the saddle.
Tks Merlin Cycles, the resposnse for my purchase was very fast!! but unfornatelly my goods still hold on Customs for clearence ut to 10 working days....
Thank you guys for the good work! I"m sure that we will keeo on bussiness..
