Yes, they are a bit expensive but compared to my Deore Thumbies they are a joy to use. I had been using 7 speed thumbies set on friction for a 9 speed cassette. When they arrived I was a bit concerned about going back to indexed gears (because I didn't read the Info properly and understand that this model of Microshift does not have a friction option oops) however they were simple to fit and even easier to adjust. So I've finally left the '70s behind and have slick, indexed gears.
Simple, light, functional & very cool looking. Better than any poxy rapid-fire. Fact
I have 2 pairs of these thumb shifters by Microshift,
They are so easy to use, they light on the fingers and easy to operate during winter with thicker gloves.
I cycle on the coast and I like the fact that unlike regular trigger shifters there is no where for grit or sand to get inside,
They look great and very retro too!, i will be buying more of them for my other bikes for sure!
Great shifters. Simple. Light. Rock solid. Reliable.
