Great tyre at a great price and can merlin be beaten for service? I don't think so!
Panaracer Rampage 2.35 SC a good average size. Great grip for a lite-ish tyre weigh in @ 680G saves on getting full on Downhill tyres, if only. Riding trail centres and surprisingly fast rolling considering is a "STICKY COMPOUND" rubber. Tyre pressure is crucial needs to be goldilocks, not to soft and defo not to hard ...
Great tyre, went for a ride today... damp track, plenty of grip :) Great price and service, cheers Merlin Cycles
Great tyre, light weight for its size and good grip. Reccomended
I'd been a Kenda Nevegal user for ages, but they were getting harder and harder to find. Being a similar pattern I gave the Rampage a try.
I reckon it is every bit as good as the Kenda, and arguably it even grips a bit better on the side lugs.
I run this on the front with a Trailraker on the back and it gives a really confident feeling winter setup. In the summer (if we ever see it again) I'll be putting a Rampage on the back too.
On my ninth pair, low rolling resistance on road and good grip off road. Not had many broken spokes either, despite my 15 plus stone doing it's best to wreck them
Great service from Merlincycles.com.
So far, the Rampage 2.1 on the rear of my Giant VT is an ideal replacement for the rather worn Fire XC Pro 2.1 I was running before. Seems a little more 'sticky' on rocks and similar on loose trails. Sheds mud okay. No pinch flats so far running at 40psi.
