The fit is a little odd - tight on the feet but loose on the calves so they slip down but they seemed to keep my feet dry even in heavy rain in already wet shoes.
Worked reasonably well, did end up with one wet foot after 8 hours hiking through rain and snow, so they are not perfect.
Fit was fine medium for a 9, with a liner underneath.
Recommend, but pair with good shoes if hiking
They feel a little odd, as you essentially have 2 layers of sock with the waterproof layer in between, so it feels crinkly and if you try them on without shoes then it feels like they don't/won't fit to your feet properly. As soon as you put shoes on though it's a different story, they are comfy and most importantly keep your feet dry no matter what you go splashing through. Just remember that they are obviously only waterproof until water goes above the level of the sock...
Just what you need on a wet winters day to keep your feet dry
Great product, very quickly dispatched thanks
Gone for a thin sock to see how these fair agains the mid thickness ones. This is my fourth pair and they last a good season and bit of regular use. I wear them with my only pair of mountain bike shoes and the waterproof and thermal properties easily get my toes through the winter snow, ice, rain and mud.
They feel slightly odd when you first put them on but once on they are very comfortable. My first outing with them was after a lot of rain and my shoes got very wet and muddy but my feet stayed dry and warm so they passed the test with flying colours. Highly recommended. And of course the usual great price and service from merlin.
The shape is still not great, but once inside your shoe they feel ok
