Ronno6Just exactly as I expected. Perfect shifts on my 10 speed drive train.
Mr KEasy to fit and setup. Gear changes are precise and rapid. Not quite as light as Ultegra but I've calculated that if I remove 35ml of water (less than a mouthful) from my water bottle, then my bike is no heavier than if i had fitted the Ultegra version.
Mr MidmoreI bought a Sensa Romagna Special from Merlin Cycles nearly 2 years ago. I use the bike for my daily commute & now - some 6.5K miles later - things unsurprisingly have worn-out. Love the bike, so I have treated it to some new Shimano 105 parts. Now as good as new. Thank you Merlin Cycles for all the good gear together with excellent service.
Mr hobbsSmooth and quick - this is a great piee of kit
MarkBulletproof 105 Rear Derailleur. 105 is probably my favorite groupset from Shimano. It's economical but well made and always works. The best for commuting, winter rides.
Mr EdwardsA quick an easy install, shifts without drama, a solid piece of kit
Mr EvansLooks good, easy to fit and excellent indexing.
Ned in NewcastleI bought this to upgrade from a basic Shimano 2300 that came as standard. I considered moving up to Tiagra only bu due to the low price offered by Merlin for the 105 mech I decided to opt for it instead (34.99 paid). What can I say about the derailleur; it is much improved over what I had as standard. It shifts so much more smoothly. There are no clunks when shifting down from the bigger gears. This is to be expected but definitely worth it.I am currently running this with a 8 speed set up but will be moving to full 105 10 speed at the first opportunity.
Dr JacksonNot quite as crisp a shift as Ultegra but a lot cheaper.
Mr ThomsonThis was a replacement unit as my original was damaged by another cyclist. Had no problems at all with 105 for the last few years & have just used this one during Etape Caledonia. Cheap price & good quality.
Mr FrenchSolid shifting and clean looks, and at a good price from Merlin. Would prefer if Shimano used the sealed bearing pulleys.
Mr WatersIt's a basic rear mech which can be easily improved with the addition of quality ball bearing jockey wheels. I own Ultegra and Dura 7800 on other bikes and this performs exactly the same but does add a few grams. Lotsa bang for the buck is what 105 is about so it rates four out of five.
Mr LukeGreat product at an unmatchable price.
Mr JefferyI have purchased many road bike components from Merlin Cycles and all transactions have gone very well, a superb company to deal with.
Mr KarolskiGreat product from a great brand.
Mr FowkesDerailleur seems to run smoothly. Usual Shimano quality
Mr reynoldsWhat it said on the TIn Thanks Guys Good price from these guys and fast post
Mr DIXONgreat deraileur at great price, always choose shimano's italion rival but suprised at accurate shifting and modern look.
Mr Griffithsgood product well set up it performs as well as some more expensive models
Mr endoI upgrade from 9-speed to 10-speed, changing the triple crank to double one. That causes me to change everything. I must have spent more money, but here "Merlin" gave me good prices. Thanks so much, Merlin!! Next time again I will definitely come and buy some, I swear. I was lucky I found this nice internet shopping. Thanks.
