Sizing Information for Shimano Shoes
Mr KARATASDelivery on time. Used them a couple of times and they're really super comfortable and look fairly smart and pro :) Go for one size larger than your regular footware. On the top of everything, price was the best of best. Thanks merlincycles:)
Mr YermakovGreat shoes. My first pair of carbon soled road shoes, and I can really tell the difference. Soles are super stiff, and rides that would have left my feet numb with my old shoes are nice and comfortable now.
Partizan BostonHaven't used long enough to comment on the performance but for sizing use the size chart from Shimano website. Measure your feet in cm and then convert to whichever unit you want. My feet measure 29-29.5cm, ordered 46, and they fit perfectly. They are lightweight, stiff under foot, and it's great to have a road shoe with SPD compatibility. Finally, if you are ordering from USA, it took mine 8 days to arrive to Boston to give you an idea.
Steve MBeen searching for new pair of shoes for months. Found these well priced by Merlin. They are a great fit although I did go one size up. Very comfortable on long rides and match paint job on my Synapse Hi Mod. Would def recommend these shoes
Mr FletcherGreat comfy shoe, I would recommend getting a size larger than you would usually take however!
Mr di stefanoComfortable from day one! Nice shoe, great value.
SteveUsing with SPDs, a lot stiffer than my M077s so a worthwhile upgrade in that respect. They are fair bit trickier to clip in than the M077s, but that is to be expected using SPDs on a road shoe I think, and the beauty is that I can now change to SPD-SLs when I am ready to without have to fork out on new shoes. Look the business, the straps work well, very pleased
Mr NevilleFantastic shoes, really stiff and great security around the foot. Very breathable too. Only down side is they size small, so buy the next size up
Deapy1989The shoes are simply the best I have ever used. As mentioned by many users shimano fitting trends to be a little tighter and I have gone for one size bigger.
Mr BUXTONOutstanding value for this quality shoe, make sure you check your size as the fit can vary with Shimano. I already have a pair of these and they`re still in perfect condition after five years of use, I brought these to go with my new road bike as I will use different clipless system, I would highly recommend them as a quality road shoe and the service from MERLIN was flawless.
Mr JuggernauthMy first road shoe purchase. Merlin Cycles dealt with my enquirie. Their information was concise, courteous and impartial regarding the Shimano R107 SPD-SL Road shoes. Ordered as recommended size 46. Quick delivery. Quality of shoe is impeccable. Extremely comfortable. Shimano do take pride in their products. This is clearly evident in the R107s. Feet feel well supported. 20 mile cycle today through heavy rainfall. R107 stayed dry. Rain did not penetrate. Insole, feet and socks dry. The off straps mould the shoe to your feet and the ratchet secures the positioning. Feet do not move, rub or lift out at the heel area whilst peddling. Large surface area for cleat adjustment. Micro degree adjustment is a joy. The shimano R107 certainly do maintain the power through to the peddle. No muscle fatigue or knee pain experienced. The carbon sole is stiff and responsive. Both plantar did not experience any aches or fatigue. Overall the R107 shoes are extremely comfortable and have made my cycling not only a joy but new experience. The Shimano R107s are worth the audition. In my opinion they should not be overlooked. A serious contender for any cyclist considering entering the foray of road shoes, or a cyclist looking to upgrade to the next level.
Mr SimpsonHave been extremely impressed by these shoes. They are light, stiff and very comfortable. After reading a few comments ordered one size up and they fit perfectly. Style and colour are understated 'bling' - perfect with my black/blue bike!
Mr KnightI bought the shoes for my first ever race and found them comfortable and practical. No problems fitting the cleats and, being adjustable, I could ensure they suited my style of riding. They also look very good!
Bert19Fits perfect, good well made shoe. I am a UK size 8 and as per Shimano size chart required euro 43. Please ignore all the talk of sizing up. I think that most people do not consult the chart supplied by shimano.
Mr PunnettVery well made shoe but the standard fit is fairly narrow, The clasp feels solid in construction and is easy to tension and release with one hand.
Andy BevVery comfortable shoes. Came with the maximum float "yellow" cleats.
EdFirst off... a fantastic price and service from Merlin... as always! I am normally somewhere between a 44 and 45 depending on the manufacturer, but having read other reviews I went for a 46, which is a perfect fit. As the sole is not all Carbon (hence the price) there is some flex when you pick up the pace, but overall this is a great sturdy shoe, with good power transfer that I would highly recommend.
GeoffVery comfortable, and very well made. I would suggest buying 1/2 size or even a full size up though
JackPerfect fit, very comfortable, great ventilation, cleat install was very easy did not even require for the insole to be taken out
RichardGood shoes, I bought a half size larger than my normal shoe size due to having a high instep. Probably could have got a full size larger.
Mr ViciulisMy first pair of road shoes. My feet were cramping up on flat pedals so I decided to clip in. There is heaps of support around the ball of the feet, they have good ventilation, fit well (do you're research on shoe size. I went for half size bigger), and the ratchet is easily adjustable on the fly.
Mr GillingwaterStiff, robust and lightweight shoe at a good price. Fairly broad in the forefoot.
Steve ThorntonReally Comfy, very easy to get on & off. Couldn't be better.
Mr CliffVery quick delivery and perfect fit. My first pair of proper road shoes and very pleased with them.
