Shimano SM-RT70 Ice Tech Centre Lock Disc Rotor
Code: SMRT70
Shimano SM-RT70 Ice Tech Centrelock Disc Rotor
  • SM-RT70 Ice Tech rotors give excellent performance using the proven Shimano Centre-Lock system providing excellent rigidity and security with an easy set-up
  • The clad steel / alloy / steel rotor construction allows heat generated from braking to radiate quickly through the aluminium core achieving surface temperature drops of around 50 deg C. When used with Ice Tech pads surface temperatures can drop from around 400 to 300 deg C, this provides great improvements in performance all round
  • Ice Tech rotors achieve long pad life, less noise and less fade due to improved heat dispersion
  • Rotor contact surface has been developed for excellent pad clearing and cooling which increases pad performance and life
  • Lockring NOT included
Mr PaquetFast delivery no issues, exactly as described.
Ray PExcellent quality brake discs, as you would expect from Shimano, and quick and efficient service that was up to Merlin's usual standard.
SBrilliant product great price and as always prompt delivery
robindoes the job
Mr WilliamsonBought these to go with a set of Fulcrum Rapid Red 5 650b wheels as a spare set for my PlanetX gravel bike. Never fitted discs before and with the right tool...dead easy. Very happy with Merlin service and delivery.
AndrewI have used Ice Tech rotors on several bikes now and always found them to be great
Mr GlendinningGood value, quality kit. Hard to track down at the moment, so snap them up if you see them.
AnthonyGreat rotor. Light and easy to fit.
chrisEasy to fit - fitted to new gravel bike hunt wheels. Superb service and simple to fit. Yet to use them out and about. 👍
Mr ChadwickAs expected from Shimano a great looking and operational disc
Mr HNice rotor, easy to fit and the usual high quality from Shimano
JamesPerfect fit and function on my gravel grinder :-)
Kevin TalaueGreat product, similar to my other wheelset discs but this one is lighter. Genuine Shimano product. Merlin Cycles is the real deal, just bought more parts for a Shimano 105 upgrade.
SteveRGood quality inexpensive rotor
marcGreat discs, typical Shimano quality that should last a long time.
Dave Johnsonreally classy rotors, feel very secure when braking, and worked well with my TRP Spyre Cable Disc Calipers. You will need a hollowtech bottom bracket wrench to tighten the lockring, one like this from Merlin: https://www.merlincycles.com/cyclo-external-bottom-bracket-crank-tool-204501.html
RobNice rotor, came perfect, easy to fit ( once I had the lock ring tool)
JSY MattNot as light as the XT version but still just as good.
ggjohnWhile these are not the top of the line for Shimano discs, they are certainly far more effective than the brand the bike came with and the stopping power is right up there. You don't necessarily have to buy the top of the line to get really effective braking - and these do the job very well
Mike BAwesome rotor, got this to replace the resin only rotor and added metal saint pads. Braking power is improved in both the wet and dry. Also lighter that the cheaper rotor it replaced. Highly recommend
Mr PorterCame quickly and fit with increased stopping power over the 140 they replace
Mr WhitbyI only replaced this disc as I bought some new wheels which are center lock, the old disc is still ok after over 16000km.
SteveSame rotors that came stock on my bike. Terrific performance at a great price.
JohnGreat discs, easy to fit and work really well.
Yorkshire cyclistI ordered these from another shop. Three weeks later they hadn't turned up so I ordered from Merlin. They arrived two days later. And the disc rotors matched the rest of my 105 groupset.
Mr NaumiukPerfect rotor for my second set of wheels, I was considering going to Ultégra or DuraAce but price difference made me stay with 105 series strong enough for all kind of breaking needs
Mr O'ConnorPerfect, goes great with the wheelset I bought. No complaints.
IanThese rotors don't have as much negative space between the cut outs as I'm used to so they appear solid and heavy. They work great though and braking power seems to have increased over my stock rotors. I would buy again.
Tom DumpulinNot sure why people buy super expensive rotors when these do the job fine. Learn how to descend and your rotors won't heat up that much. Descended Mt. Diablo and Mt. Hamilton without these warping at all.
bevBought these for a slighter leaner profile, and they worked perfectly with my disc pad set up, so my wheels roll without any rub - perfect! :-) Delivered speedily so ordered and on the bike within a week.
Youtube Skragg CyclevlogInstall was simple and straight forward. I was glad to see that the lockring supplied used the same tool to install as a Shimano cassette, so I didn't need to buy anything to install them :-) They are a good quality disc at a good price.
AidanGood product, light, smart and stops well
