The 3T Strada is the road bike everyone is talking about; and for good reason! For the Strada 3T threw out the rule book, totally reinventing the aero road bike from scratch. But ‘Aero Road’ doesn't do it justice, as it's not just extremely aero but also considerably more comfortable than other aero road bikes on the market. How have 3T managed to engineer a road bike that can be both? The key elements are tyre size optimisation, a lightbulb moment designing new aero profiles and shapes and a totally new approach to the drivetrain.

Wide Tyre Optimisation
One of the biggest factor's in road bike comfort are the tyres; they provide more compliance than any other part of the bike. Wider tyres are better at reducing shocks from terrible road surfaces which is why they are the norm on the rough cobbles of Paris Roubaix. In addition, wider tyres offer an advantage on longer rides, reducing the steady drain on a rider's energy level caused by high-frequency road buzz.
Aerodynamics are also very important, and wider tyres tend to destroy air flow. However, The Strada Due is the first aero road frame optimized for wider tyres, so finally you can be fast and comfortable all the time, from the cobbles to the climbs. All day, every day, with one and the same bike.
Double Duty
3T strongly believe in 1x drivetrains for many riders and situations. But they also know there are riders and situations where 2x still makes more sense. With the Strada Due, 3T have worked hard to keep the seat tube as narrow as on the original Strada, so that the airflow is disturbed as little as possible by the addition of the front derailleur hanger and the derailleur itself.
The Strada Due is only compatible with electronic drivetrains. Without limitation, it is compatible with all SRAM eTap and Shimano Di2 road groups. For Campagnolo EPS, please note that its seatpost battery is very long, so on smaller sizes, there is a limit to how low you can position the seat before the battery touches the curved part of the seat tube.
Realfast Aerodynamics
At 3T they design for real-world aerodynamics. This means 3T test at 20mph and 30mph in the wind-tunnel, they also test there bikes with added bottles and other parts for aero optimization. But most importantly, 3T want to design frames that are fast with modern tyres sizes to give the rider the best results in a real world conditions

Gideon Excellent service and comms, my dream machine delivered very quickly. Being winter I have not riden her yet, but it's a beuatiful bike and the SRAM AXS integartion with my Wahoo s=was very simple to set up. Roll on good weather!
