The Altura Raceline Pro Road cycling gilet is a great choice of layer for fast-paced training rides when you need to protect your core from the wind-chill but don’t want to overheat in a bulky cycling jacket. Lightweight and aggressively cut the Raceline Pro gilet features a protective front combined with a mesh rear to help excess heat escape. With a sleek aero-fit there’s no annoying loose fabric flapping in the wind while a high-cut neck protects you from the cold wind and two easy-access zipped back pockets allows you to securely store your keys and smartphone. This versatile gilet packs down small for easy storage until you need it and reflective detailing helps to increase your visibility to other road users.

Nicely made product as usual from Altura. True to size, 100cm chest, M.
Good simple piece of kit at a good price. Packs down nice and small.
Good fit, doesn't flap around, ideal for those early morning rides when there's a bit of a chill in the air. Could use a bit more back pocket storage.
Great gilet, breathable enough that you don't get too sweaty on the climbs. I'm 73kg and 6" and medium is a close fit with enough room for a base layer and jersey below. The zip pockets are very useful and well shaped for easy access.
This is a good fitting gilet which folds up small enough to fit in jersey pocket. It is also made from good quality material.
Excellent quality gilet to go with my Raceline jersey. Size XL is perfect for my 42 inch chest and 6ft 3 in height. Two useful zipped pockets at the back.
Great service, as ever, from the guys at Merlin, cannot fault them!

Altura clothing is a somewhat unfamiliar brand for me, not a British person. At least until I buy this gilet. Apparently the design is cool. The problem is ... because I have not tried it directly in the offline shop ... I bought it anyway and it feels good to stick to my body first. What did I feel when I riding this cold day wearing this on a winter jacket? Windproof, insulation and breathability were good. There is not so much expensive to price, what more would you like?
Lightweight and good design. Keeps wind and cold at bay.
I bought one for myself and a size up for my husband and we are both delighted with the garments; excellent fit, quality construction but still light enough to go in a pocket if the day heats up.
Neat fitting, should have ordered extra large. Comfortable and will still do in a pinch
The stretch membrane offers a nice comfortable snug fit so there's no 'flapping' in the wind. The two rear zippered pockets are nice. Lengthwise, it's a bit on the short side for me.
Great fit, good quality, keeps my core warm on cold days but don't overheat. Back is well ventilated. Great with a base layer and a summer long sleeve jersey for +10 degrees, also use for mtb on colder mornings.
Great gilet for autumn cycling with a rucksack as back vents well, sizing is small so go one up!
Really like the mesh back and zippered rear pockets. Perfect for cool weather riding without the bulk and sweat retention of a jacket. Race cut so order one size up if in doubt.
Fantastic quality and perfect fitting. Very race oriented. The zipped pockets are wonderful
Gilet that performed really well in the Alps in September - a light, well fitted top that kept out the chill on the downhills and has pockets that easily store a phone for photo moments and Strava. Product was delivered when promised and at a great price.
Quality seems to be very good. Very lightweight and "pro" cut, i.e. it is not loose, if you order by the size chart. Good pockets in the back.
Supremely light and comfortable - excellent to keep out the wind on a chilly autumn morning
Ridiculous (in a good way) for the current pricing. One of my favourite pieces of road gear I've ever owned. The front is totally wind proof and high cut. The rear is super stretchy, highly breathable mesh, and lower cut. The two pockets (I actually do like pockets on my gilet and if you don't like them maybe just don't use them?) are deep and super easy to open and close with the angled zippers and big pulls. Just a really nice gilet and great to-the-body fit. I am 5'10" 165lbs with a 39" chest and 32" waist and have a size M. I always wonder in the newer Altura kit if I could get away with a small (I think I could for sure for the lowers but likely too tight across the cheat for me in jerseys). At the current price I believe these are probably the nicest gilet on the market. I would call these race fit though, so bear that in mind before ordering.
This is a well made great fitting gilet - two diagonal rear pockets easy to access - might buy another
Great quality and Medium was a perfect fit for a 170lb 5'11"
At the price this is quality and worth full price. I've a few gilets and this is without doubt the best one
Super Cool looking vest, perfect fit and great materials. Really waterproof and windproof front panels and shoulder, the back is a refreshing mesh to avoid over heating. Can't beat it for the sale price at Merlin!
Good fit and very lightweight.
It is the 4th time that I bought this for my team. This is a excellent product, keeping us warm in the cold and wet Western Australia Winter morning. More importantly, it is aero-fit and lift your performance with good looking features. Highly recommended!
Good quality - my husband usually takes a medium but an extra large had to be ordered. Quick service from Merlin cycles
Perfect for those chilly mornings, when it warms up you just pop in your pocket and away you go.
Just what the doctor ordered as the cooler mornings kick in. Good protection and compact enough to stuff in the jersey pocket. Can't ask for much more.
Great gilet at a reasonable price, slightly stretchable to make tight race fit. Two small pockets above your kidneys to give a sleek look. Quality garment.
