Mr MCLEODComfy bibs as expected, however compared to the previous pair of Assos bibs I owned the leg grippers are a little loose and don`t grip my legs tightly. These are the only bibs I have like this so maybe they are made for someone with larger stumps. Other than that they are comfy and very high quality
KevinMy first pair of Assos and even though they are their entry level option, they still are amazingly comfortable and extremely well made. If you want to try the brand out or just need a really well designed pair of bibs, then purchase these with confidence.
Mr ThomasMy first ever skin shorts were Santini.....my second pair Assos......many years ago. The later were the better pair....this is like becoming reacquainted with an old friend. Very comfortable great fit ....I went XLG am 6-4 and 14.10.......might be tempted by XL next time....well put together beautiful shorts.
DanielGreat value bib shorts. Bought both an XL and XLG. I am 187cm and 86-87kg - both fit and probably prefer the XLG which isn't as firm around the shoulders.
DanBrilliant bib shorts. I'm 187cm and 86-87kg. I have both the XL and XLG size. Both fit and I prefer the XLG which isn't as firm around the shoulders or legs - others may prefer the tighter compression fit of XL.
IanMy first Assos and happy with the purchase. The pad is very good. I am 194cm and a Clydesdale so the fit is tight even in the largest size and the leg length could be a bit longer, but a snug fit without being uncomfortable is fine. I think I will buy Assos again.
Mr SimpsonI ride both road and mountain bikes and usually average around 5,000 miles each year. I have been using Assos bib shorts for many years and consider them to be the very best . I usually buy their top-of-line models but about a year ago decided to try the less expensive T Mille S7 Bib. I like them so much I recently purchased a second pair.
AquidoBeautiful and comfy. It is not as good as my main bibshorts, S7 Equipe Evo, but excellent for long training rides.
Z5_Rider_NYCBought a Medium. I'm 5'8" / 180 lbs and my build is like an American football player (shorter but larger legs and a medium length torso). Standing up the inseam feels fine but then the leg band creeps up almost an inch when in riding position. I feel if I went up to a Large the leg band would be too loose. Great chamois for the price, but not as nice as the Cento. Note the Cento inseam did the same thing - but maybe after some wear the issue may disappear.
MR MGreat Bib Shorts, much better than Castelli.
Brian CVery excited about these bibs. High quality and seem to be exactly what I looking to fit my need. I usually wear a large but I ordered the XL. This was a good decision.
Mr EastI've had a pair of these shorts since February and absolutely loved them. I'm doing a 450km charity ride from Saigon to Angkor Wat in November so needed a second pair! No hesitation at all in buying the same Assos product. They are, without doubt, the most comfortable cycle shorts I have used. The chamois technology is brilliant, perfectly placed and VERY comfortable. Have recommended to fellow riders on the challenge. Merlin had the best price I could find at this time although I did get the first pair in a sale for £45!! (Wasn't I lucky!!)
KostasIt was practically on 20% sale so it was not to be missed. Although Mille is the 'low-end' bib its quality and feel is second to none. The pad looks minimal but it performs great. Be careful with the sizing. At 182cm and 79kg I always buy size large in Giordana, Santini, Castelli and Alé but I had to buy medium in Assos Mille. The large, suggested by Assos' size guide, was too big and the pad did not feel as it should.
DeweyTI've only had a few rides in the Assos bibs so can't comment on the durability but they appear to be well made and the chamois is the most comfortable I've ever ridden. I ride a lot, most years more than 10,000 miles (16,000 Kilometers) so chamois comfort is very important. If they hold up, I'll be buying many more in the future.
JohnGreat bib short, comfortable perfect sizing as per Assos recommendations, so good I have grabbed another.
JohnPerfect bib short, long or short rides made comfortable, have used for road and mtb, fit was spot on.
KeithHighly recommend these Assos shorts. Fit differently to previous bibs (Castelli, dhb). High quality materials and comfortable.
BruceOutstanding shorts, perfect for 100 mile + rides. Worth spending the extra. Wish I had upgraded years ago.
HatsterAn absolute bargain, these fit like a glove and offer great padding on longer rides. My first Assos but not my last, especially at Merlin prices.
TimothySizing is spot on ordered medium, fits as a medium should. Bibs are extremely comfortable even though they are the entry level bib. I will order other Assos bib.
Mr CruzThese Bib Shorts are True to size. I am 6'2" 240 and the TIR fit is perfect. Out on my first ride with them was the most comfortable ride I ever experienced. Training ride was 77.4 miles with no discomfort. These are the best for their price point, especially with the discounted saving. Great workmanship ASSOS. Two thumbs up!
RoccoThese are great bib shorts worth every cent of the $140 I paid for them They are a little on the short side as far as leg length goes but that is the only thing that doesn't get a 10/10 . I'm 175 cm tall and weigh 175 kg a medium is a perfect fit. Merlin delivery was prompt I would highly recommend buying these shorts from Merlin
Mr huletskyLast 12 years of retirement 172000 Km later, always on Assos bib shorts
KofMy go to bibs whenever I need to be on the saddle for 2hr plus rides. The chamois is perfect for me. Great fit and quality. Large size fits perfectly. Holds my 28inch thighs well. The fabric is not as robust as that of the S5 series. Watch out for excessive wear from saddle rub. The Mille is for comfort day and night.
Stoller72Upgraded to these Assos bibs after years of lower priced bibs of other manufacturers because of the great deal. Couldn`t be happier, it was well worth it, even at full price. Should`ve done it years ago. If they are as durable as they are comfortable .....
Bill BrysonLove these bibs. Great entry level shorts from Assos. The chamois is pretty hard to beat at the fit is spot on. Great for long rides.
Mr LiewFitting is more generous especially around the thighs. But this is known prior as this is a comfort fit not race fit.
