Our intrepid team of employees / bike riders have been racing hard through summer, achieving some excellent results. With two riders qualifying for World Championships in their respective events later this year.
Debbie Moss has been in great form with a string of top results. A rapid ride for third place at the UCI Gran Fondo World Series Chrono event – the Tour of Cambridgeshire, was enough to secure a place at the World Championships at the end of August.
Debbie continued her successful 2019 taking 2nd place in the VTTA (Veterans Time Trial Association) 50 mile National Championship held in Yorkshire. Debbie’s stellar run of form continued through June, riding a personal best in the VC Cumbria 25 mile TT, with a rapid 57.55.
The last few weeks have been busy and successful for our multisport star, Bex.
At the Staffordshire Ironman 70.3 event, Bex was fastest in her age group by six and a half minutes, and secured a place at the World Championships in September.
Bex then got stuck in to the British Masters Swimming Championships held in Swansea. Bex stormed to victory the 400m and 800m Freestyle and took second place in the 200m. Although the highlight of the weekend must have been being labelled the Mo Farah of the pool…
Bex brought June to a close at the North West & North East Open Water Swimming Championships. In her first try out at an Open Water swim event, Bex was 1st female in the Masters category and 3rd place overall.
Bex is continuing her build up preperation for the 70.3 Triathlon World Championships in Nice, France in September
Dan Patten’s run of bad luck at the National Championships continues… Following last year’s puncture and lack of neutral service support, Dan missed out on entry into the National Road Race Championships 2019. Dan is now focussing on fresh goals to make the best use of his building form.
