For those of you who really fancy something different and like a bit (lot) of a challenge, why not tackle one of these beasts?<\/p>\n

This is the list of six high climbs doted around the world that you can make by road on a bike.<\/p>\n

They haven\u2019t built a road up Everest or Kilimanjaro yet but this lot will still sort the men from the boys.<\/p>\n

\"climb1\"<\/p>\n

Asia: Khunjerab Pass \/ Pakistan 4,730 m \/ 15,529 ft<\/h2>\n

The Highest paved border crossing which sits between Pakistan and China. One of the nastiest climbs you could imagine, conquer the altitude, the elevation and the extreme weather to make it over the top.\u00a0 If you\u2019re lucky you might even see a Snow Leopard, that\u2019ll keep you dancing on those pedals!<\/p>\n

South America: Chivay-Arequipa \/ Peru 4,910 m \/ 16,110 ft<\/h2>\n

The road from Chivay to Arequipa is the highest paved road in the world yet doesn\u2019t have name! Get to the top though (and it\u2019ll be a battle) and you\u2019ll be rewarded with a great photo and bragging rights when you get back home to the pub.<\/p>\n

North America: Mount Evans \/ USA 4,307 m \/ 14,131 ft<\/h2>\n

Situated in Colorado, temperatures at the top can vary from +24c to -18c couple that with winds of over 100 mph at the worst time of year, this is a climb not to be messed with so do your planning.<\/p>\n

Europe: Pico del Veleta \/ Spain 3,394 m \/ 11,136 ft<\/h2>\n

Overlooking the city of Granada this is the highest paved road in Europe and only has a average gradient of 6.5%.\u00a0 Don\u2019t get ahead of yourself yet though the climb is 43km long!<\/p>\n

Africa: Tlaeeng Pass \/ Lesotho 3,251 m \/ 10,666 ft<\/h2>\n

Africa\u2019s highest road has twists, turns and sheers drops to make things \u201cexciting\u201d for you.\u00a0 The harsh cold weather at the top has broken up the road so there\u2019s also lots of pot holes to tackle, make sure you bring tough tyres and plenty of tubes!<\/p>\n

Oceania: Mauna Loa \/ Hawaii (USA) 3,397 m \/ 11,169 ft<\/h2>\n

A stunning ride up an active volcano with reward you with stunning views over Hawaii on a clear day.\u00a0 The climb also has a shelter and observatory at the top so you won\u2019t be alone should the worse happen.<\/p>\n
