Our top of the range aluminium gravel bike features revised geometry, gravel specific handlebars, upgraded groupset and Merlin GDA-1 wheelset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.merlincycles.com\/merlin-malt-g2x-grx-gravel-bike-2021-197443.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"791\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.merlincycles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/G2-GRX-frontc.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31632 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1200px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1200\/791;\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sweet Chassis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The G2X features the same tweaked geometry as the rest of the aluminium gravel bike range. More comfort and stability through a slightly lower front end and shorter top tube. These tweaks help raise the fun level on roads as well as gravel, a bike equally happy blasting down gravel tracks or racing along tarmac back lanes. The 32mm deep \/ 25mm wide Merlin GDA &#8211; 1  wheelset adds solid, reliability right where it is needed. Featuring &#8216;bomb-proof&#8217; shimano RS470 hubs and 32 spokes, the wheels are built tough. Schwalbe G One 35mm tyres offer a great mix of multi surface grip whilst still retaining on-road speed. 12mm through axles hold the frameset and wheels securely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1500\" data-src=\"https:\/\/www.merlincycles.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/80527_merlin_malt_g2x_grx_gravel_bike_2021.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31683 lazyload\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 1500px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 1500\/1500;\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Components<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Shimano&#8217;s GRX gravel specific groupset features on our top end aluminium gravel bike. The GRX groupset has three tiers within the range and has allowed us to tailor a high performance specification whilst retaining a more attractive price point.
