Abus are a German based company, established in 1924. Luckily for customers, the full name, August Bremicker S\u00f6hne KG, gets shortened to ABUS. Much easier to fit on the side of helmets and bike locks. Abus have taken bike rider security to the next level with its potentially life-saving Quin Sensor Q9. The Quin Sensor Q9 integrates crash detection into Abus bike helmets. The sensor incorporates an accelerometer that detects and evaluates falls. If a fall occurs, the sensor triggers the emergency routine on the users bluetooth paired smartphone. This can send emergency information, such as location of the rider to another person previously assigned on the smartphone app. In addition, real time tracking can be triggered in any dangerous situation by tapping the helmet 4 times.<\/p>\n\n\n
