Drivetrain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The focus with Praxis is on drivetrain components. This is where David Earle’s extensive expertise in metals and manufacturing come to the fore. The business uses innovative manufacturing processes, combined with an in-house engineering team and testing facilities, all these elements come together to create a true force in cycle drivetrain components. The business has headquarters in Santa Cruz, California and offices in Taichung, Taiwan.<\/p>\n\n\n

Praxis Works Buzz Chainrings<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Cold Forging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Praxis are experts at cold forging. This is the process that they use to produce chainrings because it allows for more shifting features, such as timed ramps, shift elevators and angled tooth profiles to be included in the production process, these features could not be produced using CNC machining. Cold forging relies upon massive forging presses to produce 7075 T6 chainrings. This process also results in a harder and tougher tooth surface for extra durability. They call this process ‘One Shot’ forging. In simple terms, it allows a series of small aggregate features which all add, to the end product result – the most durable and consistent chainrings.<\/p>\n\n\n

Praxis Standard Bottom Bracket<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Through the Minefield<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Praxis are the ideal manufacturer to provide you with safe passage through the technical minefield which is bottom bracket fitment options. They have produced a wide selection of bottom brackets and conversion BB’s such as the popular BB30 conversion which allows the use of 24mm axle Shimano Hollowtech 2 chainsets – available in 68mm and 73mm shell widths to suit Road and MTB fitments. As well as bottom brackets, they also produce their own high-quality tools for fitting and removing too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
