Early Days<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Back in 1986, three friends Gary Chen, Leo Chen and Aver Tsai founded Tektro beginning with only 20 employees in Changhua, Taiwan. Their first manufacturing facilities was just the size of a basketball court and the monthly production capacity was 50,000 cantilever rim brakes. <\/p>\n\n\n

In 1999 Tektro launched its first hydraulic disc brake which is still the company\u2019s most successful and most important product. Today, Tektro has production facilities in Taiwan and China with over 1,600 employees. The brand offers sales and service throughout Taiwan, China, Europe and the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n

TRP Today<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In 2006, the high-end brand TRP \u2013 (Tektro Racing Products) was founded on the idea of building the highest quality braking systems available in the bicycle industry. Braking systems are designed for superior levels of performance and durability achieved through the use of advanced production techniques, accurate processing and meticulous quality control. By using exotic materials such as carbon fiber, titanium and TT6 aluminum, TRP brakes set a new industry standard for precise control. The brands brakes are extensively tested for reliability and safety on-road, off-road and in the laboratory by a company with over 35 years of experience designing and manufacturing bicycle brake systems.<\/p>\n\n\n

These days TRP produce all types of brake options from CX V Brakes to Direct Mount calipers. TRP are perhaps most well known for cable \/ hydraulic disc brake calipers. The hydraulic actuated, cable pull dasc calipers give reliable strong performance for bikes with cable operated brake levers. As well as calipers, the brand produce a wide selection of accessories including rotors, mounts and general braking spares. <\/p>\n\n\n
