The Australian Championships are usually the first in the world to take place in each year. This is largely due to the weather and the opportunity to have the best riders, many living in Europe, all race together whilst home over the northern hemisphere winter. The races are also a good opportunity to check out team kits for the 2023 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-gold-rush\">Gold Rush<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Australian National Championships have taken place in Ballarat, Victorria for the last 16 years. The city was one of the wealthiest in the world in the 1850&#8217;s when the discovery of Gold made Ballarat the place to find your fortune. Today, the city attracts the best Australian bike riders, all aiming to pull-on their country&#8217;s green &amp; gold National Champion&#8217;s jersey for the coming season.
