No room for bottle cage on bike, thought I'd give this a go... Excellent, loads of space for everything plus easy to clean which is important with these things. Can be heavy when full! Fab service from these guys!!
Bought the Charge to replace on old Camelbak Mayhem which has given great service for years. Was a little sceptical as the Charge looks cheap and plasticy on tne photos.
However, I'm really pleased with the Charge, the low centre of gravity with the bladder being positioned low works well and you forget that you have it on if you adjust it correctly. The other benefit over the Mayhem is that the rip stop material is very easy to clean when it gets muddy, just leave it to dry, brush off the worst of the dirt and then wipe clean with a damp cloth
Top quality, light weight, well designed hydration rucksack. Plenty storage for tool, spares, etc
I bought this purely from the result of looking at the picture and reading a few reviews. When it arrived I was amazed. It is a brilliant and well designed bit of kit. It had its first outing recently at bike park Wales and I hardly noticed it was on my back even though it was packed to the gunnels.
The build quality is superb and I highly recommend it.
If I had to give it any negatives it would be the current full price if you can't get your hands on this older 2013 model.
Excellent back pack for MTB. Really easy to fill and clean the bladder
Excellent product , used it for the first time last weekend. Having the bladder at the bottom of the bag balances it out so much better and makes for a very comfortable ride and leaves ample room for tools , a rain jacket some arm warmers and a couple of bananas with ease. The drink tube is quick release which makes removing it and the bladder so much easier . The two pockets in the waist band are excellently placed and holds a mobile phone nicely . I've never used camelbak before but I would certainly buy another one if needed.overall very pleased with it.
A really excellent product with plenty of room and pockets for all your spares and gear. The pack itself is light weight with adjustable straps and the bladder sits nice and low on your back. Overall very happy
Brilliant pack that replaced a 5yr old MULE, much lighter and more comfortable. Pack design sits the bladder on your hips - outstanding. Handy pockets in the right locations and the detachable hose from bladder is so convenient. The best pack I've owned.
Back problems mean that I cannot use a conventional water pack. Now that Camelbak have produced lumbar packs I wanted to give this one a try. Only had one outing so far, but weight distribution is perfect and side pockets make access to smaller items really easy. Adjustability is very good too. I opted for the Skydiver Blue which is more subtle than pictured. Excellent product!
Great product, have used Camelbak products for the last 10 plus years, for different sports. Biking, Snowboarding and Running. This latest Camelbak purchased is for an Ultra Marathon. It has everything you would need for a whole day out on the bike, run etc. Super comfortable and love the way the bladder can be removed without removing the feeding tube. Excellent upgrade.
Very happy with this bag. It is very light. The capacity is limited but the space is very usable. Tools, coat, bars, pumps lights all fitted in easily. The lumbar reservoir is a revelation, the weight is very stable. I really noticed that the weight on my back didn't shift even when rolling steep chutes etc. the side pockets are also a brilliant idea, I like being able to get at my food without taking my whole bag off. 5 stars
This is the perfect size for Mountain Biking. It fits so snug to your back, that you actualy forget that you are wearing it. Plenty of room for tools, spare layers, food and a set of elbow and knee pads. Has pull in straps that as your resevoir empties tighten up the pack to keep it from flapping around. Great item, highly recommended.
Only used twice so far but excellent pack, very comfy, fits in all essentials and lighter than mule nv
Very good lightweight backpack. The lumbar construction makes it ideal for mountainbiking.
You can carry much cargo, like vests, nutrition, telephones...
Only minor point is the acces to the bladder. You must remove the bladder completely to fill the bladder.
Otherwise no complaints.
Great hydration pack. The lumbar reservoir sits really comfortably. The pack has enough space for everything you need for a 2-3 hr ride. Love the pockets on the waist strap.
