Bought as an upgrade to make my summer bike more fancy. Truthfully, as a new setup, I can't easily feel the difference between Record 11 speed and the well broken in 10 speed Veloce that was on there before. If it wears in as the Veloce did and Campgnolo has a reputation for, it will be magnificent. There's still a nice, crisp action to changes with a snappy jump across the cogs but thumb shifts (releasing tension) have a very noticeable CLACK (aka a surprisingly loud click) which I'm hoping will mellow. I do also miss the trimming on the big ring ... but like the way that the drop into the small ring automatically prevents chain drop (three clicks in a swipe to go up but only two released when dropping, you then click again when needed). Hood shape is lovely and fingers to the blades in the drops is great. I REALLY like the brake tension release at the hoods AND screw tension on the brakes - dropping wheels out is easy and varying the take up in the brakes simple. The group also looks beautiful.

This is a superb upgrade and the materials used are light, but more importantly they function perfectly. The value from Merlin is superb and everything was packed carefully.
Had the mechanical 2014 Super Record Set. This new redesigned 2015 Record mechanical Set shifts much crisper especially the Front Derailleur. The brakes grab much quicker than 2014 Super Record brakes. Hard to tell at first, but after a week's worth of use, the new crank design is definately much stiffer than Super Record TI cranks. Worth the purchase!
What can I say, Campy quality on full display. Good looking, true shifting, what a pleasure to use...Shimano users take note!
Love the Campy shifters and the drivetrain is just beautiful.
