Campagnolo Vento ASY G3 road clincher wheelset, choice of Campagnolo or Shimano/Sram Fitting
The Vento Asymmetric wheels feature large-diametre flange which increases the wheel's response, transferring all the energy from the drivetrain to the ground. The wheel is even more stable with increased reactivity and stiffness.
The graphics are new and aggressive add to that red anodised oversized nipples the Vento's have a fresh new look.
FEATURES & BENEFITS
ASYMMETRIC RIM PROFILE: Maximum stiffness of the wheel,
EXCLUSIVE G3(TM) SPOKE PATTERN: Perfect balance of the spoke tensions on both sides of the wheel. Reduces stress, increases transversal rigidity and the transmission of power to the wheel. G3(TM) eliminates vibrations even with ""heavy"" cyclists. Increased torsional and flexional stiffness gives high driving torque transfer.
STRAIGHT-HEAD SPOKES: Maximum stiffness of the wheel, maintains the spoke tension and long-lasting performance.
OVERSIZED FLANGE: Increases the torsional stiffness, increasing reactivity at each change of pace of the cyclist.
ALUMINIUM HUB BODY: Provides a high degree of lateral stiffness.
front wheel: 750 g

This wheel set passed all expectations. They are lighter than I expected, they look great and having done about 300 miles on them they perform brilliantly, they roll so smoothly I wished I bought them sooner.
Mr Urbano Moral
These wheels are very good for training, not heavy, rigid and easy for adjust.
I'm very happy with these set of wheels. Light and very responsive. These are night and day compared with the sluggish wheelset that came stock with my bike. I'm currently using them with an 8 speed shimano groupset and works without troubles.
Great wheel set for its price. Pretty fast shipping. A perfect choice for beginners and satisfactory as a training wheel for profs.
FTF - Thank you to Merlin Cycles for an incredibly prompt delivery following completion of the transaction. Much appreciated.
I've had the wheels on the bike for two weeks now and am very happy with them. They are slightly wider than the previous wheelset on the bike & subjectively the ride feels smoother but they are definitely quieter.
I had bought them to run through winter but am so pleased with them I'm probably going to put them away until the spring.
The wheels are beautiful and the asymmetric geometry in the rear rim is also nice and seems to be a more technologically advanced product. It is not super lightweight, so be aware. The freewheel sound is not loud but it is good enough. For the price range, would totally recommend it.
Lets get this secret out in the open. I don`t think its possible to find a set of light, stiff, good looking and fast rolling set of wheels anywhere else for this price, its a bargain. Very pleased and in fact surprised by the ride quality, thanks Merlin and 'camps'
For the price, these wheels are very hard to beat. I went from RS11's with Lugano 23c tires to the Vento G3's with Pro4 Endurance 25c tires, and dropped about 1/2 a pound total. Not a huge difference, but coupled with the Vento's stiffer composition, acceleration is noticeably quicker and average speeds are slightly faster. I notice it most when going up hills as all my power gets transferred into forward motion. The RS11's seemed to sap some of that power. The ride quality is slightly firmer, but it's not punishing, and was minimized by going from the 23 to 25c tire. The next step up for Campy wheels will drop about 100 grams more, but are also $130 more, and I couldn't justify that extra cost in my mind. For riders that want to save a little weight and gain performance, these are a good choice.
These wheels are amazing, very light, nice rolling, very strong and so much beautiful.
I've been using these wheels for 3-4 weeks and so far I love them. I bought them as an emergency stop gap after the freehub went on my Fulcrum 5s, and by all accounts they are extremely similar to the Fulcrum 5. They certainly seem pretty much the same performance- wise: they are relatively light and keep rolling forever on the flat, though in my opinion they are just a little bit prettier than the Fulcrums- they are seriously good-looking wheels! When you factor in the price I'd say these are terrific value, and you'd be hard pushed to find anything as good for a similar price.
