Campagnolo Zonda Road Wheels, Campagnolo and Shimano/Sram options. Option for pair or for Front Only
MEGA G3 on the rear wheel makes Zonda 2013 range the benchmark wheel in the market: greater torsional stiffness and greater side stiffness that transform into greater energy transmitted to the wheel. In the standard tyre versions and 2-Way Fit, Zonda raises the performance level, boasting greater performance and more aggressiveness.
milled rim: reduces the peripheral weight of the rim and makes the wheel extremely reactive.
MoMag(TM): allows the external profile of the rim to be free of holes - increases structural resistance
makes rim tape unnecessary and reduces the weight of the wheel.
Dynamic Balance(TM): every point of the rim is counter-balanced by an equal weight on the opposite side. Maximum stability of the wheel even at high speeds.
differentiated rim height: 26mm at the front to provide optimal handling; 30mm at the rear for transmitting all your power to the wheel.
spokes with aerodynamic profile: provides the maximum aerodynamic penetration. Reduces aerodynamic drag saving rider energy.
Spokes anti-rotation system: allows the spokes to maintain the best aerodynamic position.
front: 18 aero spokes, radially laced in stainless steel with variable cross-section.
rear: 21 aero spokes in stainless steel with variable cross-section, doubled on the drive side
exclusive MEGA G3(TM) spoke pattern: perfect balance of the spoke tensions on both sides of the wheel. Reduces stress, increases transversal rigidity and the transmission of power to the wheel. MEGA G3(TM) eliminates vibrations even with "heavy" cyclists.
oversized flange on the drive side: increases the torsional stiffness, increasing reactivity at each change in rhythm of the pedal stroke.
aluminium hub body: provides a high degree of lateral stiffness.
aluminium axle: reduces the weight of the wheel.

Awesome wheelset, rolls very smooth, light weight at 1580 grams. The hubs are extremely quiet, very happy with that. Not so aero, makes whistling sound at about 40+ kmph with headwind.
Massive upgrade over my Fulcrum racing 7s. Light and stiff great fitment with my Michelin Pro 4 service tyres. Service was great received them in Canada in just over 1 weeks time.
Excellent wheels. Quieter freehub than I'm used too which was a bit strange at first, but very well built, look great and spin freely.
Usual Campagnolo high quality. These wheels spin up nice and fast and hold their speed pretty well. Nice stiff wheels that I bought for hilly riding and they climb great with brilliant power transfer. Recommended upgrade.
Excellent set of wheels, just came off 100km ride, those are light, stiff and responsive. I upgraded my Specialized Roubaix Comp DT Swiss 3.0 wheels. Well wort it, hats off to Merlin Cycles , I live in Canada my order got here very quickly and without any problems.
Light, responsive, and much quicker than my OEM wheels. Dollar for dollar, best upgrade I've made thus far.
Light, stiff, a bit harsh on bumps, but I've appeared to have increased my average speed as the wheels roll fast and don't require as much work to stay at speed. I'm coming from a pair of mavic cxp22, that could no longer stay true, and the 600g weight difference is quite noticeable, especially on hills. Will likely recommend these wheels to anyone looking to upgrade as the performance can't be beat for the price.
Phenomenal wheels. Spin up quickly and hold their speed well. Surprisingly quick on climbs. Came to these wheels from Ksyrium Elites and Chinese Carbon wheels. Carbons are being used as a decoration and the Zonda has replaced my Elites as the favorite everyday wheel.
So far so good. Done a few hundred miles on them on some big hill climbs and longer steadier climbs. A noticable decrease in time on a long 2 mile climb I do every day, knocked 20 seconds off my average time (5 mins to 4:40). Although that could be the placebo effect! Or me getting fitter. The wheels were fitted easily. They sound OK, not that this is something that bothers me. People have commented they sound good. They certainly look the business.
I live in central California next to the Sierra Mountains, so I do a lot of climbing. (See http://www.climbtokaiser.com for info on a ride near me that I did; 15,000 feet of climbing on a 155 mile ride) I ride a Trek Madone 4.5 from 2012 that had stock wheels on it. My quick workout ride is 25 miles in the hills, with maybe 500 feet of flat ground. With the new Campy Zonda's I was almost always in one higher gear, and shaved 4+ minutes off my best time on this ride.
The Campy's are noisy when you aren't spinning; they sound like 100 bees trapped in a tin can. However, they ride very very smooth and true.
I would highly recommend these wheels to anyone like me, who is looking to upgrade from their stock wheels, and can't afford to spend more than they did for the bike on carbon wheels.
After riding these wheels a few hundred miles, I would rate them about a 4 out of 5. They roll fast, the stiffness is good for hill climbs but I would not recommend them for rough roads, for the price they can`t be beat
If I had known how much of a performance upgrade these would provide I would have bought them years ago. Massive improvement in acceleration, much much easier to maintain speed, better climbing out of the saddle. Best money I've ever spent on a bike hands down.
Wheelset is smooth and light. Replaced the wheels that came with my bike with these and immediately noticed a difference in climbing and sprinting. The wheels have stayed true even through the rural rough spring roads.
