Castelli Perfetto Light 2 Short Sleeve Cycling Jersey
The Castelli Perfetto Light 2 short sleeve jersey was first created for their pro cyclists following requests for a jersey that they could race in early season cold, wet weather conditions which was not as hot as the Castelli Gabba but was warmer than the Castelli Perfetto vest. Starting with the Gabba the designers at Castelli stripped this iconic garment back, shedding weight and using more breathable fabrics; they constructed the back from Nano Light - the same fabric as their Nano Flex tights but without the brushed fleece inside to give a truly breathable back to stop you overheating inside. Castelli further lightened it up by using a thinner Windstopper® front (a full 25% lighter) than the one used on the Gabba.
The Perfetto Light 2 short sleeve jersey covers most of the conditions of the Castelli Gabba (except wet racing and very cold), yet it handles warmer temperatures better. The fit is exceptional, leaving you feeling secure, enclosed and streamlined which is one more reason you’ll keep reaching for it. Another arrow in your quiver, the Perfetto Light 2 is ideally suited to cool temperatures, especially when it’s dry or there’s a risk of light rain.

Carlos Ordered large, fits race snug so you may consider sizing up. I love the fit especially the longer sleeves. Price was the lowest I could find. Good service, however, delivery time was a bit long. But must take into consideration, item was delivered to USA. Will be purchasing other items in the very near future!

Mr Sutton I have the previous version Perfetto short sleeve and like the updated rear pockets, collar, and bottom of the rear jersey is smoother. Sizing is on the small side and I usually wear a M/L and the size ordered was a XL and fits really well with a base layer.

Iain Fantastic jersey, a great alternative to the Castelli Gabba when the weather is a little warmer but still offers some wet weather protection, as with all Castelli comes up fairly small so buy a size bigger but quality is fantastic and a great bargain from Merlin
Michal Excelent piece of jersey! Works perfect as a wind barrier in front while staying breathable on back. Sizing might be tricky, follow the chart - chest dimension is crucial. Keep in mind it is italian road/race snug fit.

Jez Parker Being the owner of several Castelli garments I knew what to expect when I ordered the Perfetto light in terms of quality and fit, I wasn't disappointed, the fabric just feels great and I can see it being my ''go to'' jersey in the sping/early summer, the fit is slightly tighter than my Gabba but this is not a negative, it just feels a bit more...racey, for want of a better word, size wise, I'm 37" chest and medium fits snug without being overtight, I`m very happy with my purchase add that to the fantastic price and service provided by Merlin cycles and I'm an all round winner.

CLEMENTE Recently acquired a long-sleeved Perfetto jersey, and I was so happy with it, that I decided to buy a light Perfetto for when it gets colder and thus cover a slightly warmer temperature range. I will not be able to check it until the weather improves, but if it works in a similar way to what I have, I will be very satisfied. I hope it is as versatile as the long sleeve.
The only negative thing, in my case, is the jersey pattern. It is for people too thin. I bought the same size that I have in the long sleeve Perfetto and I had to change it for one size more and, even so, it comes closer than the other. With 1.68 cm height, 75 kgs of weight and muscular build, the XL is my size, although it fits me.
Fabian Awesome Castelli LS jersey. IMHO much more convenient than the Gabba, at least for South countries where the cold is not severe. Usual Castelli sizing and quality. Moreover I ordered colour Luna Grey and it is very nice.
At this price is also very nice deal. Quick delivery and excellent service from Merlin as always.
NSW Fantastic jersey with great materials and construction. True to size but you need to read the actual Castelli sizing charts to confirm your proper size. It is a race fit if sized properly and on the bike it will feel perfect but off the bike it would feel a little tight. I purchased Medium and my measurements are 172cm height, 37 inch chest, 65kg. This is a great fit for me wearing the jersey over a mesh base layer.
Vaughan An excellent jersey once you get the fit right. I ordered the Medium size after following the advice to go one size up, as with English sizing I always buy my clothing in a Small size. I knew this jersey wasn't going to fit before even trying it on, and trying it on only confirmed this as the zip was hard to close and the area under my arm-pits was very tight. I'm 5ft 6ins, weigh 62kg, have a 30ins waist and a 36ins chest, and having swapped the medium size for a large I would say that the fit on me is still a 'race' fit rather than a loose fit. The one occasion I've worn the jersey so far was on a windy day with the conditions alternating between warm sunny and cool cloudy. I did spend a lot of time lowering and raising the zip but because the zip is amazingly smooth in use this wasn't really an annoyance. Never felt uncomfortable in spite of the changeable conditions and was always confident that if there was a shower then the combination of this jersey and my nanoflex arm-warmers would keep me moving . You only have to hold this jersey under a running tap to see just how water-resistant the fabric is. The advice given by Castelli to help retain the qualities of the fabric is to wash with a liquid cleaner and to go over the dried jersey with an iron to reactivate the water repellancy. Hi-tech, high-maintenance but this is a top that earns it's name and is worth an extra bit of TLC to keep it looking and working at its best.

Dr Niranjan Expensive but worth it - and a bargain at sale prices. Brilliant wind-stopper fabric, really well made, excellent fitting for cycling. Offers a degree of water repellency and very high quality. The only short sleeve top you need. Makes it a pleasure to go out in the wind or the cold! Paired up with arm warmers and possibly a light gilet, it's great. It's a snug, Italian, 'race' fit but when you are on a bike, the fit is great so I would recommend sticking with Castelli's sizing guide.
Clinton Excellent piece of kit can pretty much cover everything from 5 degrees to 20 degrees celsius when combined with a base layer and arm warmers. Fits half a size smaller than usual Castelli gear (i.e. Gabba, Aero race, Climbers jersey) it's a perfect cut for racing but you may want to size up if you want a more relaxed fit or wear more than a base layer underneath.

Tomas G. Size M was perfect for my height (183 cm). I like Perfetto much more than Gabba. Its lighter in the back so I don't sweat and windstopper in the front works like a charm keeping me warm and dry.

Stuberman Just got it, but it is another beautiful Castelli product. My one complaint is that it seems to fit a bit snugger than my other Castelli Jerseys.
Ian Great jersey for mixed conditions and very versatile when teamed with nanoflex arm warmers. You need to size up though. I'm 103 cm chest medium to large but the Castelli 2Xl is a close but comfortable fit on me.You need to bear in mind that Castelli quote their sizing for a race fit. Overall its a great piece of kit.
Geoff Ideal for the British Climate where it may be cool air temperature and chance of spot of rain. Thin enough to wick sweat if exercising hard but warm enough from 10/ 20!. Superb
