Radiogram This is a well designed little tool.
Its splines are deep enough to fully engage splines on a Campagnolo cassette lockring.
Overall length is 29mm. Hex base can be driven by a 24mm 1/2" drive socket.
Base has a 10mm hole.
Spline pattern for Campag cassette lockrings is same as for Campag square taper BB cartridge cups. Cassette tool can be used for BB cups but it is not as strong as the Cyclus Campag BB tool which has a thicker wall for its splined barrel. Thinner wall of cassette tool is necessary to fit barrel over rear wheel axle assembly and engage lockring splines.
Cassette tool can be secured to rear axle with rear axle QR skewer to prevent tool fall out of lockring splines when torque loads are applied.
If used on Campag square taper BB cartridge cups this tool is long enough to clear the BB spindle, and the hole in its base permits it to be secured to BB spindle end with a crank bolt when torque loads are applied.
This Cyclus Campag cassette tool is superior in design to an alternative offered by a popular American manufacturer of quality bike tools.
