So I was lucky enough to taco my Ritchey Protocols in a recent car accident, I survived, but my wheels did not. I needed something quick at a relatively affordable price, and I found this wheelset while searching for a suitable replacement. These have been fantastic for my training/all-around wheels, the hub is a little noisy but not a negative in my opinion. They have also held up to the rigors of my Arizona roads without issue. A little stiff, but handle the occasional roadside surprise no problem. For an all around, bad weather, just get on the bike for a quick ride wheelset, these definitely fit the bill without killing the wallet.
These wheels are great for their price. The hubs from DT swiss are incredibly smooth and the wheels are really light. These low price wheels are perfect for training and are even suitable for races.
Bought these as a good set of sturdy training wheels for my 6'4" 105 kg frame. Had trouble with wheels with lower spoke count. Standing up well
Good wheel-set. A little heavy but not considering the price. Obnoxiously loud rear hub though. Typical tick sound, I usually prefer silent hubs. But works fine.
A reasonably-priced wheel set with a nice wide rim to create a good tyre profile. Things to be aware of: the free hub's very loud ( a plus for me) and the product isn't supplied with rim strips or tape. Make sure you go for a wider rim strip or tape as standard 16mm Schwalbe road rim strip wouldn't adequately cover the spoke holes. Velox rim tape worked much better.
