Eddy Merckx Liege 75 Steel Frameset - 2016
The Eddy Merckx Liege 75 is a classic looking steel frameset that builds up into a beautiful ‘vintage-look’ road bike with all the benefits of modern-day frame construction and technology. Inspired by the great Eddy Merckx himself the Liege 75 steel frameset forms part of the Merckx Heritage line of bikes and frames and takes its name from the classic Liège-Bastogne-Liège race which Eddy won an amazing five times in total. In 1975, he won this oldest of the one-day classics, La Doyenne, in a Molteni rainbow jersey, confirming his total supremacy.
This high-performance frameset is made from quality Columbus Zona steel and features a monocoque composite fork to enhance comfort on your ride. Fans of steel road bikes already recognise the benefits of this classic frame material and construction technique, namely durability, compliance and a unique ride quality not found in carbon or aluminium road bikes. Inspired by the stylish Molteni colours of Eddy’s team this frame colour replicates his own 1975 bike and builds into a modern classic that will be the envy of your cycling friends, and while it looks great the Liege 75 steel frameset also provides you with a contemporary, unique road cycling experience.
