AdamAn excellent lid for an excellent price. Bought as a replacement for a [white] Cinder MIPS that saved my head from an autumn training ride crash, it is a perfect fit (size S) for me, made really secure by the very adjustable RocLoc5 and sturdy but comfortable straps. The MIPS system is barely noticeable when riding, but there's a little less room for a cap or winter hat (fine for my Buff). Having said that, riding during the hot 2018 summer the cooling was great and I never overheated or had any problems with sweat affecting vision. Giro helmets have saved my head a few times over the years and this is a really comfortable, lightweight, aero and well vented addition to the range, which made the offer price from Merlin impossible to ignore. Man 'o ExmoorVery impressed with the fit, the adjustable head band on the inside allows you to dial a snug fit and it is very easy to adjust on the go. The ventilation is good, the recent hot weather was a good test for that. After a few miles on the bike I forget that I am wearing a helmet, so for me that tells a lot about the design and the quality of the helmet.

Mr VojskI ordered the Cinder at Merlin Cycles at a great price. Having owned Giro helmets for some 20 years, I can summarise that the Cinder is a comfortable helmet with some aero characteristics, the dependable RocLoc closure system. Its disadvantage is the mediocre ventilation , for some relative wide looks. Overall comfortable, much cheaper than a Synthe, mediocre ventilation.

Mr HamiltonBought this to replace my old Giro helmet. Usual Giro high standards, it's light, comfortable and looks great. The Giro Loc system works brilliantly, there is just enough removable padding on the inside and it's also got MIPS.
At this price it was a no brainer and I'm really happy with my purchase. Price and delivery speed from Merlin, as usual, was great.
