Lightweight 700C Disc only wheel suitable for Road & Cyclocross. Built Using the new Alex Draw 1.9s rims, sealed bearing 142 x 12mm thru axle - 11 speed hub & light weight Alpina double butted spokes

Mr Tomas Great wheelset from Chosen/Alex.. bought for my CX as wanted a lighter wheel and 11 speed capability.. they are also light enough to race on the road and are super comfortable with 28s fitted, tubeless go up and seal no probs!

Dustin Nice wheels for the money. Sufficiently wide for CX and gravel tires. They were also pretty light given the budget nature of the wheels, and easy to set up tubeless (it took 2 layers of tape). The Chosen hub is obviously a budget item, but the bearings spin smooth and the engagement is respectable, so no complaints there.
The build quality seems fine to me. Spokes were evenly tensioned--tight but not fiddle-string tight. And the packaging was great.
All in all, hard to imagine I could have done much better for the money.
Mr Wright I bought these wheels as they were light for the price whilst having a good amount of spokes. On my scales they came very close to the claimed weight. I've done around 150 miles on them so far on road, gravel paths and through the woods on my Cannondale bad boy. They seem strong enough for general riding and have handled trails with small drops and bunnyhops without issue, but I haven't really abused them. I also bought the QR conversion kit for front and rear. The front takes a few seconds to swap, just pull out the 15mm end caps and press in the QR end caps. The rear took a little longer, as the drive side end cap needs a cone spanner to unscrew and was super tight on my wheel, but only took a few mins to do the job. Overall I'm very happy with the wheels and good service from Merlin as always.
Paul Cheap and cheerful cyclocross wheel. It's round and true, and rapid shipping got it to me in time to rescue my race at the weekend. Went tubeless fine, with Ktm rim tape and the valve out of the old wheel.
Mr Crawford This is a high quality built wheel with good tensioned spokes & true. Lightweight & perfect for the cyclocross bike with 142mm through axle. Only negative is the free hub is a little noisy.
Mark Killing Came very well packaged, and well built. I must stress though that they DO NOT come with tubeless rim tape, they have standard (actually a bit naff) rim tape fitted. Don't let this put you off though, as some Gorilla tape will soon sort that out. They roll really well, look good and are reasonably light. Only dropped one star as not really "Tubeless Ready" when you have to fit tubeless rim tape yourself. I guess you get what you pay for, and this is a bargain wheelset.
