FFWD F3R Carbon Tubular Road Wheelset - DT Swiss 350 Hubs
Lightweight and easy to handle on any road! With 30mm carbon rims the FFWD F3R is a lightweight tubular wheelset, which is optimal for climbing. It will get you over any mountain but also has very nice characteristics when riding on flat roads. The rims are built with UD carbon for more stiffness and a 3K Nano Brake technology helps to increase stopping power in all conditions.

Ric Friend Exceptionally light and stiff, these wheels offer excellent value for money, especially with the Merlin discount. They are a quality wheelset, well presented, and come with all the accessories. Check that the freehub end cap is not stuck in the protective hub cap. Mine was and it cost me time and email effort. Tubs are made easy with Tub Tape and the latest Tub tyres provide a high degree of puncture resistance; I used Jantex Tub Tape and Vittoria Corsa G+. tyres.

Brian This is my third set of FFWD wheels having previously owned a set of tubulars and still own a set of F4R clinchers. Reliable wheels they have been and I have never had to touch a spoke in any of them. At this price on Merlin I plumped for the F3R tubulars wheels and fitted Vittoria Corsa tyres also bought from here. Although the wheels are noticeably narrower in profile compared to my F4R they roll beautifully and even when inflated to 120 psi they still feel much more comfortable and sublime. So , although I haven’t owned these too long I am very happy with them and will rotate wheels depending on route length and keep these for shorter lumpier rides closer to home. I don’t want to risk being to far and puncturing just in case even though I have used Stans sealant.

Mr NAKASHIMA This wheel is an old model. However, it is very light and the design is beautiful. I like it better than the current model.
