Actual weight is 1810 gramm with Shimano freehub and a rim tape. I am not going to remove the rim tape although I am not sure if it is necessary on this smooth rim bed. The 2 quick releases weight 115 gramms. The wheels roll smoothly, they seem to be sturdy, which is not a surprise, I had experience with a 2011 Fulcrum Racing 5 which is still perfect for everyday use. Braking is good as expected. Rim width is 22 mm according to my measurement. I expect long and fussfree service from this set.
These are rock solid wheels, they roll really well and take punishment, climb and descend well, look great, getting another set, very good price at Merlin as usual
I've done several research on user review regarding this wheel. As expected, really worth it. Sturdy yet still have good rolling even in high speed.
Got a set of these to replace a set of SRAM AL30 which have been nothing but problems. I am a fairly supple 155 lbs with over 30 years of riding and racing experience. I have a set of Racing 3s which survived a hard descent down Mt Evans in sleet and rain, hitting the very pronounced road seams like slamming into a curb at 30 miles an hour every 30 feet. I was sure I was going to damage them, but was facing hypothermia. To my surprise, after inspection, they were still perfect. The Quattros seem to be super stout, very stiff, spin up quick despite the weight. Solid training, beginner racing wheel. I picked these over a pair of Mavic Cosmic Elites based on the experience I have had with the 3s. Would highly recommend!
I purchased these as an upgrade to my original wheelset on my Specialized Allez, and after 400 miles all I can say is wow! I rode a 200-mile route last weekend and it was amazing how responsive these wheels are in climbs and fast through descents. They are significantly stiffer than the stock wheels, so I lowered my tire pressure to accommodate. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for immediate performance gains
Awesome wheels for the price. They ride like they are twice the price. Light and fast.
Coming from Shimano RS-80 wheels. These are fantastic. Fast, stiff, and surprising comfort. Not sure if I notice an aero benefit, but they seem fast. On the hills they were just as quick as the lighter RS-80 wheels. For the cost, they are an amazing deal.
Compare with other shops, this one is very low price on Merlin Cycles. It's a little heavier than Racing 3, but rolls very smooth. Best wheels for training and touring.
Super wheels, feel the stiffness and 35mm profile gives me a lot of aerodynamics compared to standard wheels from giant. + Shipping was very fast.
Awesome wheelset. Combined with the 700x25 Michelin Pro4 Endurance this thing rides like a champ. Smooth and comfortable. Would recommend! Shipping was really fast too to USA.
Bought these for my new build because they were excellent value and I had good previous experience with Fulcrum racing 11. The difference they have made to my overall speed and weight of my bike [compared to racing 7, which was a (only) 70 quid cheaper] is easily noticeable. The hub noise is just classic fulcrum. Not to mention the aesthetics. Did a 62 mile sportive and was thoroughly impressed. The only thing a little strange was that the bearings had a slight rough spot. But the wheels still keep turning and turning....
