Giro Carbide R II Mountain Bike Shoes
The Carbide R II is an XC shoe with a comfortable, supportive fit found in Giro's premium shoes. Giro have added a nylon and rubber co-moulded outsole for impressive durability, grip and traction in rocks and mud. While Giro were at it, they totally redesigned the upper to combine supple synthetic fibre with mesh panels for increased breathability and lighter weight. Three wide straps allow easy fit adjustments, and a supportive EVA footbed enhances comfort. A stout injected nylon sole helps transfer power to the pedals instantly, enhancing your connection to the bike.

Mr Perez Andres They are very comfortable shoes and they look very good quality. Five stars.
Mr Taylor These shoes fit well and are easy to walk in , the cleats are nicely out of the way when walking.
David Very comfortable shoes. I use mtb shoes for road cycling as they are easier to walk in at cafes etc - these are the best shoes I have used so far, the cleats are completely recessed to the point where you don't feel them at all when you are walking yet they remain easy to locate on the pedals. They are not as bulky as some of the shoes I have used in the past - they would easily pass for road shoes. The split tongue also adds to the comfort. Great shoes, higly recommended.
Mr Williams I had the original Carbide and these are a little less burly. Still a nice fit but they’re lacking some of the heel and toe reinforcement of the other shoes. The tongue also seems to go slightly higher up the foot on the top. That said the fit is good and the sizing is similar. Overall I’d recommend them.
Mr Paul Very nice shoes for a great price. Look great and nice and firm.
Mr Troy Great SPD shoe, nice colouring and good fit. I went 0.5 sizes up which gave me just the right size. Fastening works as long as you put some force in and keeps tight the whole right. Not waterproof, but dried out well enough in the sun. Very easy to walk in to, and nice and grippy.
Matt Awesome shoe for my first venture into clippers and SPD. Very comfortable, really breathable and easy to walk in off the bike thanks to the cleverly recessed cleat position. Sole seems to be extremely tough and hard wearing as does the rest of the shoe.
