Giro Code Techlace MTB Shoes
The Code Techlace is designed to maximize power transfer, comfort and durability for XC racers and long-distance trail riders. The Techlace closure system provides a more supple feel across the forefoot than conventional straps, while a proven Boa L6 dial tightens the upper in 1mm increments for a secure fit. Giro have fitted the Code Techlace with Evofiber material features a molded rubber reinforcement, allowing it to conform to your foot while resisting wear and tear from rocks, roots and other trail hazards. Inside, the SuperNatural Fit footbed with adjustable arch support stabilizes your foot for greater pedaling efficiency, giving you the full benefit of the Easton EC70 carbon sole’s stiffness. The final detail is a tough, molded Vibram rubber outsole that provides exceptional durability and grip when you’re off the bike.

Nick Bought as I got on well with the road version -Factor Techlace. Not the same standard though, heavier, sole not as stiff, but still a decent shoe. The fastening design works for me with 'low volume' feet.
Mr Fahrmann I am a big fan of the techlace road shoe and have been wearing them for over a year. I decided that I needed a new pair of gravel shoes and wanted to have the same experience. I was hoping that the fit of the mtb version was similar to the road shoes. Although similar, I couldn't get this in the same size as there are no half size options in the mtb version. I have used them on a few rides now and can verify that they are most definitely a stiff soled shoe. They don't fit the same in the forefoot/toebox as the road version. They are slightly narrower. Thankfully my orthotic insoles still fit despite ordered a half size smaller. Grip is good and the boa dial is silky smooth and the laces appear to have a little more stretch to them than the road version. I recommend this shoe.
