Giro Empire VR70 Knit Mountain Bike Shoes

The Giro Empire VR70 Knit mtb shoes are a new approach to off-road footwear. The Empire™VR70 Knit is unlike any mountain bike shoe you’ve ever seen. It features our new engineered Xnetic™Knit upper, which offers unparalleled comfort and breathability, with a bonded TPU exoskeletal system to provide support where you need it. The upper is DWR-treated for water repellence and easy cleaning, while a rubber toe guard and bonded TPU heel increase durability and abrasion resistance. A closed stretch-knit ankle cuff provides superior comfort, additional support and protection from skree out on the trail. All of this is built on top of a stout Easton® EC70 carbon fibre sole that offers pro-level stiffness, and a tough, moulded Vibram® rubber outsole that provides protection and grip when you’re off the bike.

Mr Kamimura My foot width is D. It fits nicely. If your width is E or EE, you should choose bigger size. I don't feel much colder than other cycling shoes when I ride with this shoes in winter.
Dr Driessen This was my first SPD shoe (I ride a road/tour bike and usually ride SPD-SL) and I'm really impressed. The shoe fits well, even on my relatively flat feet, and is very comfortable on a long ride. Excellent ventilation and my feet didn't get too cold at the end of the day. The soles are pretty hard, so walking in these shoes isn't the SPD experience I'd dreamed of, but it was certainly better than walking in my old cleats. Would recommend
Mr Gontariew The shoes are well made, comfortable, and the sole is stiff as my gf in bed. The laces and PU (correct me if I'm wrong) exoskeleton make up for a nice "sock" feel when riding, haven't really had a problem with power transfer, the ride feel very good. As for vibration damping qualities, it's not as good as my old lake mx237. The sizing is TERRIBLE however. I have 44 EC90 laced model, which are perfect, and these had to resell and buy size 43 which is a tad too small. Had to insert old insoles from my lakes, to make em work, seems good with a summer sock. Ventilation is perfect, tested in the summer, all good. Too cold for winter. Foot size 275mm and 43 is almost okay, I'd go for 43,5 but impossible to get that size.
Anthony Rowell Exceeded expectations on fit and comfort. Great pair of shoes.
Oleg I was looking for summer bike shoes at a temperature of 28-30 degrees. After a long search, the choice fell on the Giro Empire VR 70 Knit Mountain Bike Shoes. After 3-4 trips at a temperature of 32 degrees with a length of 50 kilometers each, I can make conclusions. The footwear is very convenient on average width of a foot. With good ventilation. Compare with the Fizik Terra. These are not sandals, but the legs do not overheat. My size is 28 cm - 45 shoe size. The sole is hard, but when walking for short periods of discomfort does not deliver. Perfect with pedals Time. I would also like to mention the excellent service, fast delivery and very convenient prices.
RB Not light but soft material is comfortable. Hard toe area needs some breaking in.
yi chan Very nice shoes good price ! With very comfortable feeling
Steve Comfortable. I usually wear a 42-43 (depending on the brand) and went with a 44 based on sizing recommendation. A 43 might have fit but would have been close.
Mr Lee Light and comfy. A bit more snug than my strapped and buckled giro but only done 120km in them. Hopefully they'll be more and more comfortable. They looks nice when not riding as well.
Mr WARD Excellent shoe, very comfortable fit.
Mr Miyazaki I am a somewhat broad foot of a typical Japanese.Usually, Shimano shoes are just 43 sizes, North Wave shoes are 43 sizes and slightly smaller sizes. Sneakers are wearing 28 cm of New Balance. I purchased 45 sizes this time. The toes are too much, but the width was just right. Although knitted material, the part of the ankle is stretchy, the shoes themselves are solid and there is no feeling that the legs move in the shoes. As this series is solidly made, it may be 1 to 2 larger size than usual.
