Hope Stealth Race Evo X2 Brakes
ACE EVO LEVER:
For 2012 the lever pivot has been slightly shortened which translates to a 15% increase in power.
Super lightweight design - CNC machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium alloy, giving smooth, progressive feel and power.
The split clamp allows for quick adjustment and the lightweight machined alloy lever features a textured grip area. Lever reach is adjustable via allen key and the master cylinder reservoir is integrated to allow easy bleeding.
A mix of 10 titanium and 2 aluminium bolts are used on the Race X2, helping to keep the weight below the 275g mark.
This neat, slimline caliper optimises the very latest COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to reduce unnecessary weight, improve aesthetics and create a high performance partnership with the superlight Race Evo Lever. The caliper is machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium alloy and an
increased piston diameter, generating more usable braking force on the rotor. A drip free bleed nipple and wide angle orientation of the fluid inlet connector have also been added, allowing for neater hose routing and cleaner servicing. The Race X2 pads are backed with a alloy plate for lighter weight.

Very good brakes for XC. I have tested Formula R1, Magura M8, Shimano XTR. Hope is much better.
I had to replace a Hope Race Evo lever I'd damaged so opted to buy the complete unit rather than just the lever and master cylinder. The X2 caliper has replaced a Hope E4 model, which I just love. Setup was as easy as always. Just be methodical and meticulous. Performance wise this brake is not far behind the E4 in terms of power and for a rear brake even on the steep trails in BC the X2 has surprised me with its power. The Ti bolts are a great inclusion too. I'm not into gram counting but they look much better than black steel bolts that never look too good after a year of riding in all-weathers.
Fantastic quality and performance, massively superior to top end Avid's that needed constant maintenance.
Sexy black version of the Hope Race X2.
Very minimalist but legendary Hope quality.
Comes with full set of titanium bolts (including rotor bolts, caliper and adaptor mount bolts) Lever clamp bolts are aluminium. Race lever looks wicked - blade is drilled out.
Installs just the same as any other Hope brakes.
The levers are approx 5mm shorter than the old Mini lever and seem to meet the middle of the grip perfectly.
I've added a matchmaker clamp to mine and they look great! Buy some. No rotor is included but I used my existing 183 floating without issue.
Very nice, pared down XC brakes. Very light, like the supplied ti bolts too. Always had good service from Hope so these should last many years.
If you are heavy or doing mostly DH I'd look for more power, but for XC stuff they're ideal.
Super brakes! Looks great and very low weight
Just upgraded from the Hope Mono Mini. I have never had an issue with my Hopes but decided it was time for a refresh. These brakes feel so much more refined than the older Mono Mini. Great Braking power awesome asthetics as always from Hope.
