Bargain of the year! Great backpack. 18L of space, very useful pockets, pump holder in main area, little tool roll in top pocket for spoke keys/ multi-tools and other small tools. You don't have to use all the space as the straps can reduce the size of it greatly but when you need the space its there ready. Bladder is a good design also especially when you use the internal clips for space saving/ streamlining.
It is just excellent! Maybe at first glance the fabric and design do not seem so modern, but the ammount of adjusment options is just marvelous. You will love it! I got it for just 60AUD.
I bought this pack as I was fed up of having to take two bags (my general work gear and a small hydration pack) when planning a post-work ride.
It has proved to be a wise choice, as it has loads of space - the main compartment is plenty big enough for me to get my work clothes in, with plenty of room for a couple of spare inner tubes too. There is a pump holding pocket inside it and you can access it from a zip on the side of the pack which is handy. There are pockets galore, so it is really good for distributing all the things you need for a decent ride, plus it has a detachable tool pouch in the top pocket.
The 3L hydration bladder is more than adequate for a good ride, and the magnetic clip is great for stopping the straw flapping about. One of Hydrapak's selling points is the reversible nature of the bladder, giving amazing access for cleaning and drying. I cannot argue with this, it is simple brilliant. No more odd coathanger type things, just reverse, clean, dry and then for the tricky bit. The really tricky bit. Reconnecting the zip mechanism to maintain the low profile bladder shape is really hard. I have tried many, many times and failed every single one of them. I found a video on the internet which made it look easy, but it isn't.
That is my only gripe. It seems like a quite big one, but it honestly isn't. I've done a few 3 hour rides with it and they've been good. Yes you get the sweaty back because of the size, but you have 3L of drinking on your back. It seems reasonably water resistant, and the sliding adjusters on the chest straps are useful. I don't think I would pay full price for it, but I didn't, so it was a bargain.
Wanted a backpack to carry all my gear with ease like knee and elbow armour, tools etc. Great choice of high quality fabric and excellent comfort. Thanks merlin for the great price and fast delivery.
This bag is awesome. So much room for everything you need on the trails, there is enough space for my helmet too. Going to love this on the trails.
Great back pack plenty of room and comfortable to wear, great price including 3l bladder
Fantastic, large capacity hydration pack with well thought out features. Very pleased.
