The 5T Disc is a development of the well-loved 5T. The highly adaptable frame is as at home hacking along to work or powering through the mud at your local cyclocross race. The frame 7005 double butted tubed frame features an easily replaceable no hassle drop in headset, standard bottom bracket shell and 27.2 post for more comfort.
The fresh graphics and increase in sizes take cues from the original model, whilst developments incorporate a eyeletted CC Disc Carbon fork and will take up to a 40mm tyre including mudguards. Combining the new inboard disk mounts the frame leaves room for mounting ‘guards and rack fitting. The flattened top tube profiling for was added for increased shouldering comfort.

I bought this to replace the broken frame on my gravel bike. First comment on opening the box: the colour is fabulous. A really deep orange, and metallic.
I had a little panic on finding that the supplied crown race didn't fit the fork, but a bit of research told me this fork has an "integrated" crown race. In other words, the bearing sits directly on the carbon, and some of the supplied parts aren't required.
The only problem doing the build was there was paint on the front derailleur barrel adjuster thread, and not enough room to get a 5mm tap in to clean it up, but I got there in the by using a normal screw as a tap. All other threads were clean already.
I've done one 10 mile ride on mixed terrain so far and it all seems good.
I haven't built up this frame yet, but I like the the design and the quality looks good.
This was my second Kinesis Crosslight 5T. I was so pleased with my 54cm frame that I bought a 48cm size for my wife. This CX frame is an ideal basis for a gravel grinder/adventure bike. With enough clearance to take 40mm tyres it works well on all surfaces. I use it with both 700C and 650B wheels. In the case of the 48cm frame the slightly smaller wheels give toe clearance in spite of the shorter wheelbase of this small frame.
Light, solid but very comfortable - Kinesis guys knows how to make a great frameset :-)
Delivery from UK to Czech republic was very fast.
What can I say, Kinesis know how to make Cyclocross framesets. I've built mine up with a mixture of Ultegra & RS685 Hydraulic Brakes, its responsive/comfortable and looks fantastic
Mr Pessoa Rocha
Light frame, beautiful paint, quality welds. Fork appears to be very strong. Very pleased with purchase, fast and free shipping to Brazil. I shall now buy the rest of the pieces to complete the bike with Merlin.
Yes pleased with frame but bit disappointed with the forks - thought they were lighter. Frame is more manageable than the Boardman I had been riding and much more balanced. Easier to carry too. Was devastated to find out that the price had dropped at 4.30pm on Christmas Eve after I out my order in at 1.30 pm! Couldn't get any answer on the phone and panicked I wouldn't get my size. The extra I could have saved may have allowed me to upgrade wheels! New to cx and enjoying break from road. Good quick service from Merlin considering Christmas hols.
