This is the second pair of Lusso bib shorts that I have purchased in the sale. I was so pleased with the first pair that I purchased some more. For the price, they are excellent value, they fit me well and are very comfortable. I rode 100 miles in the first pair on a New Years day club ride and they were great.
A nice comfortable pair of bib shorts at a bargain price in the sale. As others have said, the legs are longer than average but it is not really a problem. The pad is comfortable and overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
First time user of this brand, have found the bib shorts very comfortable.
Quality product, This is my second pair of lusso shorts and they have both been better than higher price brands.
Comfortable pad, and well made. The legs are a little longer than I'm used to, but that's a minor grievance.
Having bought a pair of these shorts from Merlin recently, I was so impressed that I ordered a second pair. Have now done several hundred kilometres in them in complete comfort. They wash well and dry quickly. They are cut longer in the leg than my previous Lusso shorts, which suits me fine. At 68 kilos and 1m80 the medium size is just right. Excellent price, too.
Very comfy pad, nice wide leg grippers that don't dig in. Legs might be a bit on the long side for some. A chunky 5'10" got the large size. Fit a treat
Like these bibs my second pair
The best shorts for long, lean legs. I have so many different shorts, including many that are 3 or 4 times this price. These are the only ones that don't ride up the leg for me. I'm 198 cm tall, inside leg of 100cm, and weigh 82kgs and the 'large' is the perfect. Can't recommend these highly enough if you want a close-fitting, long leg.
I'm just 6ft and the large fits perfectly. Great quality and the most comfort I've had on a bike since I started cycling. Definitely buy Lusso again.
Out of stock after I ordered, and Julie contacted me to indicate that Merlin would substitute the Lusso Pro Gel Cooltech bib shorts which I agreed to. Now that is great customer service. The Cooltech shorts fit perfectly. H.187cm; W.87kgs; Waist 92cm; inside leg 33cm.

Shorts fit very well. Materials appear to be good quality. Great at the price.
The silicon strip is pretty uncomfortable, considering having a strip of lycra sewn in around the strip, these are a couple inches longer that my usual bibs. Fit on the XL is good for 6'4" 200lbs. Chamois is good for 50 miles, have been ok for training. Price is ok for what you're getting.
Fantastically comfy - only had one ride on them so far but fit well in the pad and good fit on the straps. Great price too and delivered on time
Outstanding bibs, especially considering the price. Have ridden 3 hours + in these without issue. 182 cm, 66kg - mediums fit well. Finally a pair of bibs with properly sized inseam, so I don't look like a wrestler trying to ride.
Very good shorts that fit well and have nice padding. Good for medium to long rides.
True to the size. So even someone writes that they got bigger size as I read and ordered. Normally use size S and ordered M. Size S could be better, but as I don't want to pay for returning fees, which is too much from where I live, I need/can live with size M. Otherwise feels great.
Great quality for price. Ordered a Large (5'11 , 190lbs) and the fit is good. This is my second time ordering and will not be my last.
First bib shorts I've purchased so didn't want to spend a fortune, these seem to tick all the boxes; comfortable ,well padded, and at a good price . Followed size chart and large were perfect. Have bought a few things from Merlin and never had any complaints.
Bought XL. My build - 85kgs, 6'1" but broad shoulders. Fit is perfect. Long legs with grips but not uncomfortable. The legs finish just above the knees. For Sydney summers the longer legs gives added sun protection on the thighs. Padding is excellent. Price point excellent. Prompt tracked delivery.
The great reviews led me to purchase these Lusso brand bibshorts. The shorts are definitely well put together and have quality material. THE PAD - when I tried on the shorts the pad felt huge and not very pliable. Most of my other shorts have a softer pad that moulds to the body but the Lusso pad is rigid by comparison. I was not hopeful but decided to give them a go. The pad worked remarkably well on a 40km ride and the extra bulk of the pad was not that apparent. Any longer duration ride and I would use chamois cream as I felt there could be some chaffing issues. Definitely not like dhb or Castelli in the pad dept. I would buy more of these shorts if they pan out to be OK for longer rides as they are really good value based on the quality of the lycra and overall manufacture.
Well after years of lampooning the wearers of Lycra, I have finally crossed over to the dark side, extremely comfortable and increased my average speed by .5kmh, not sure if the last was a physical or mental improvement :-)
I've only worn them once so far, but initial thoughts are that they seem well made. The chamois is pretty decent for a pair of shorts at this price point. In terms of fit they are a little longer than normal, but just a case of getting used to them. I will probably be back for another pair at some point.
Quality bibs, comfortable chamois. Fits to size.

I am 1'75 cm tall and my weight is 80 kg. The bib is just right. I just rode thru rain ( a lot) and bib felt very comfortable. The only thing is the bibs are kind of long, they end up just above my knees. Very good material. Very competitive price. I ordered size Large.
Comfortable & affordable. Bit on the small size but I need to drop a few kg anyways
So good I bought a second pair. Comfy even when worn on the turbo for a couple of hours.
Good quality and comfortable as expected from Lusso
Nice and smooth material. Chamois is thick, no discomfort so far being in the saddle all day. ~33" waist, M. However the cut around the stomach is a little higher than my other bibshorts, takes more effort when using the washroom.
Very well made big shorts from English company Lusso.
No loose threads and the sizing is spot on Medium for 32" waist & 62kg weight.
The pad/insert is also good with no wrinkling and the leg grippers maybe a little tighter but overall *****
Great fit and quality at a good price. Would buy again.
Excellent bib shorts, I did a long ride this weekend and thought they were really comfy, as per normal with Merlin the price is very competitive..
I could have spent loads more on a pair of bib-shorts, but these looked like a good step up from the cheap kit I bought to get me in to road biking a year ago. I only have cheap Coolmax padded non-bib shorts to compare these to.
So far I'm happy with my investment in my first pair of bib shorts.
I've only worn these over leg warmers so I can't yet comment on whether the leg band rubs over a long ride, as other professional reviews suggest they might.
The large fits me well (33" waist, 33" inside leg) and stops just above my knee. I believe these are slightly longer in the leg than others at this price-point.
My first ride out in these left me a little numb "down there". I don't know if it was a combination of breaking the pad in, or slightly lowering my saddle, but I had no such discomfort over two consecutive days of 5hrs riding the next time I wore them. I always dreaded getting back on the bike on day two in my old shorts, but no problems with these Lusso shorts, even after two days.
These are by far the best value, best quality bibs you can buy. The quality is there in the materials and the construction, the padding will last for those longer rides, 160km plus. I'm 5'11'' and 90+ kgs, the XL are a good fit. I have 4 pairs of lusso bibs, two of the Aero 50's. I cannot fault them, they are my goto brand.
The pad is thick. Feel comfortable on the saddle with cadence around 90. It's slippery on the saddle compared to more expensive tights, hard to have higher cadence (>100) comfortably.
Excellent quality as you would expect of Lusso gear. Good fit, at 1.83m and 80kg large size fits very well and padding seems give greater comfort in the saddle.
172cm tall, 32inches waist, M size is perfect fit. Quality is good and really comfortable.
I love the fit and the pad offers comfort during long rides (140 km or above). It is stylish and looks great. The only downside is the stitches on leg grippers. They seem to irritate the skin and you have to adjust to prevent irritation.
Goods ordered on Monday and arrived by post by Wednesday. I'd read a couple of reviews which recommended them. They fitted well and I used them for a 85mile sportive on the Sunday without any problem. I'm not sure that I would pay full price for them but at the offer price from Merlin, they were definitely good value for money.
I bought 2 pairs of these after having purchased the Lusso Carbon bib shorts because I was so impressed with the Lusso Carbons. The Aero 50 are even more impressive than the Carbons. I have been looking for comfortable bib shorts for the last 10 years that I have been a cyclist. I have tried so many brands and have been disappointed with most of them! Until now.....Lusso shorts are fantastic. I am a 2XL and the sizing is perfect. The stitching is so smooth that there is no chaffing from any seams. And the small number of seams are in the right places so even if the stitching wasn't so smooth, there would be minimal friction. The chamois is not only generous in size but more than adequate for comfort. I have worn these on 115Km rides with maximum comfort. Congratulations Lusso for an excellent quality and very affordable bib short.
These shorts far exceeded my expectations as they felt like a pair that should have cost a great deal more. Very comfortable and really good quality. Great to see a British company producing great kit. As usual with Merlin, both the service and price was top notch.
