Nice simple design, fits well , not too tight which allows base layers to be worn with restricting movement.
Great Jersey. I'm 6'5 and ~85kg and it's loose enough to layer underneath but not baggy. And most importantly the sleeve length is long enough for me!
Solid jersey, especially considering the price. I knocked a star off due to the sleeves being somewhat long and the front zipper not being of the best quality, but I'm otherwise very happy with my purchase. I haven't had the chance to wear this yet as the temperature spiked as soon as I bought it, but I can't see myself wearing this when the temperature is above 50 F (10 C). As others have noted, the construction of this jersey is fairly substantial and there is a fleece-like lining.
Jersey arrived promptly and fitted well on trying it on. Size accurate (I'm 5'11"-14 stone- no gut spread currently!).
Have yet to wear it out on the road as I got it go with a new bright red summer bike and the weather has been rubbish so far!
It looks like it will go well with layering and on its own depending on the conditions-nice and soft on the skin. For the price it is a very good acquisition.
Good quality warm and reasonably wind proof, fits well and would buy it again if the need arises.
A close fitting, light, roubaix style LS jersey good for cooler days when you need more than a SS jersey and arm warmers or using as an additional layer under a winter weight jersey for very cold days. I'm 5'7" with 37" chest and found the S a perfect fit.
My second LS Merlin Jersey. This time a bright red (first one was black). Great quality for a basic not skin-tight MTB LS top. Low cost. As the fabric is a bit Roubaix (ie warmish) it's too warm for temps over mid -high 20's Celsius. Only improvement could be to add a secure zip pocket at rear but that would up the price a bit.
Nice and warm and the price I bought it for was very much fair. The size is little larger than I anticipated but any apparel you buy online comes with risk of not knowing the actual fit. I wear XXL and the arm length is bit longer than what I usually wear. However the rest fits like a glove and the material is very soft. Not too thick and just enough to keep you warm on chilly days.
Fits a bit small, but comfortable and good quality.
Crazy good LS Jersey for the price. Black XL size. Not too long and not too tight on the torso and arms. Had it for over a year and worn it approx 25 times (washed after every second MTB ride) but is still almost as good as new. Although a light Roubaix type of fabric I've worn it on very warm days and it feels great. Getting a red one next.
Awesome jersey for cool weather riding. I'm 6 ft tall and 165 lbs and the Large fits perfect. Not too tight, not too loose and good sleeve length allows for stretched out reach when riding. Back pockets are perfect for pump and tube, snacks and phone. This jersey is incredible value and high quality for a very reasonable price. Merlin has come up with a winner!
Super nice cycling jersey, soft and comfortable inside and easy to layer up on cold days, use this all the time
Fitted well according to the sizing chart.
Nice comfy fleece lining and warm enough for rides when the temps get down to the mid-low single digits.
I love this jersey! It fits exactly as I hoped it would and is absolutely comfortable.
Nice and warm, not the tightest fit, but also not too baggy. Very good for the price
Great fit, good material so that it is breathable but still keeps the chill off on windy rides. Would prefer a tapered cuff but that is being extremely picky
Bit loose but overall fits well, so if you want a skin tight jersey look elsewhere. Great wind protection, keeps me nice and warm on a cooler day and doesn't become uncomfortable to wear. Great quality materials and pockets are large yet secure. Definitely Recommend
Fleecy and warm. Relaxed fit, sizing relates to chart perfectly. Will buy more.
Another nice Merlin Core piece. I followed same sizeing as my Merlin Core SS jersey which worked nicely- sizing down 1 in my case for more of performance fit, yet still room for a thin base layer, and length is good. Looking forward to wearing this on autumn rides which it looks to be perfect for. Love the understated good looks of the navy color too, the red pocket trim and reflective Merlin logo are nice touches. Good stuff Merlin!
Price/Quality perfect. 1m80, normal torso, size M fits very good (comfort fit, not aero). Ideal for spring/autumn rides. Zipper at the back and longer sleeve length (with thumb holes) would be make it complete, but I didn't expect it at this price. Logos stay on after washing. After a couple of rides it can be concluded that the weakest part will probably be the zipper.
The large was a bit tight for me (6' 195#). Looks great
Good for spring & fall. 176cm and 70kg Medium size just fits.
Size L fits perfectly, I am 1.70 mt tall 104 cm chest. The Jersey feels and looks very good and provides good chill protection between 6* and 10* Celsius. Perfect for the early morning rides. Great price and quality.
Good fitting top, comfortable to wear
A nice jersey at a good price. I'm 6' and 200lbs with long arms and the L is a good fit.
Great middle weight long sleeve jersey. Extra length in the back keeps you warm even on 40 degree mornings.
The jersey has a really nice texture inside and out. It's a bit more porous to wind when speeds pick up compared to what I'm used to though. With a thin base layer I found it OK to down to 8 degrees so far and will probably still be OK a bit cooler.
I'm quite slim and found the fit very loose around my body. It's OK when standing but I do notice the excess fabric flapping about in the wind. This isn't too much of an issue for my intended purpose of commuting. I'm 180cm tall and the sleeve length of size medium is totally fine.
Excellent value Autumn top, hopefully winter with layers.
Nice feel, 40 inch chest, Large fits well.
Comfortable and warm, only a zip pocket from perfection
Beautiful jersey for the price. A bit short - opt for a size larger if unsure
La Bellezza del Ciclismo
It ticks all the standard warm, perfect for chilly mornings, good fit, not too tight so perfect for the commute, undo the zip and feel that breeze trickle it's way through those wispy and probably by this point waxy chest hairs to provide some relief for those long drag of a ***** climbs where that car driver is lingering just close enough to you that you almost wish they drive past and put your life in danger for a split second to not have them breathing down your neck as you're trying to concentrate. Above all those things, it looks great. Cycling is 5% talent and 95% image (Note: euro lifestyle is included within 'image'). You must therefore direct your funds where necessary to never deviate from keeping those percentages aligned with yourself. This is a visual masterpiece of a jersey, you aren't going to win any windtunnel ranking awards for this but aero isn't euro. Euro is Sprezzatura. This jersey is Sprezz. This jersey is chic, understated euro.
After buying the short sleeve version I thought I'd give this a go (since Summer still seems like a long way away).
Just like the short sleeve version, it is extremely well made, and looks and feels far pricier than it really is.
Material is nice and thick so should keep warm, and fits well (not super tight, but slim). Suspect I'll end up buying another colour at some point.
Simple but well made jersey. The fabric is slightly fleecy and cosy on the inside. The fit is perfect for the club rider who doesn't have a racer's physique. I am 34 waist, 41 chest and large is perfect. Three good sized pockets on the back. No frills or gimmicks, just a simple quality cycling jersey at a very good price.
Another good addition to my winter warmers, a little too flimsy to wear without another layer underneath though
I little long in the arm. Worries about it being "thin", were quickly dispelled.
