MET Rivale Road Cycling Helmet
The development of the Rivale is the pinnacle of decades of experience in helmet construction and design. With the Rivale, MET’s engineers have redefined the parameters of aerodynamic efficiency via meticulous hours spent in the wind tunnel and incorporating athlete feedback from Team MTN Qhubeka. The streamlined and compact shape provides unbeatable low drag performance for its class with a saving of 3 watts at 50km/h. Utilising the Venturi effect, the strategically positioned vents allow for the maximum intake of air by pulling the air through the helmet to the rear exhaust vents.
Rivale’s construction is based on an innovative design approach that focuses on the key performance parameters of the helmet making it compact, lightweight, ventilated and superiorly aerodynamic. Safe-T Advanced, MET’s top of the line fit system, provides the best weight and comfort ratio. The contact points have a larger cradle surface increasing comfort and are also designed to keep weight low and allow perspiration at the back of the head.The polyurethane soft padding improves the fitting affording a comfy head touch. Breathability and comfort are extremely important, that’s why the Rivale features Airlite straps which are 15% lighter than a standard helmet strap.

Tal Owned a MET Strale before this one. Was a great fitting helmet and pretty low profile. It broke during a crash (saved my head in the process) and thus I opted to replace it. I was initially debating between the Strale and the Rivale and saw this as an opportunity to try out the latter. I have been riding with it for a few weeks and I am super satisfied with it. Shape and fit are the same as the Strale (which I loved) but it is lighter, has lighter straps and (the fact which swayed me the most towards it) it has noticeably better airflow.

James Great helmet, high quality, fit is perfect and easy to set up with plenty of adjustment, the neatest helmet strap set up I've seen. Very light weight, and despite being an aero helmet, it's cool in the hot weather. My first MET but really impressed.
Mr Tsang Extremely light and comfortable, — loosens/tightens with even pressure unlike some helmets I’ve used/tried. Love the aero styling too. There is a bit of a forehead overhang which might bother some people as it could obstruct your view a little when riding in a very head down aero position, but doesn’t bother me personally. Besides, the peak could be useful when it rains. So impressed with this helmet and brand. Highly recommended.
Chris Very light and aero. Plenty of ventilation. Lots of adjustment to get the perfect fit. There's quite an over-hang at the front compared to other helmets I've used but it's not a big issue.
WLT Incredibly comfortable fit and featherlight. I notice much less turbulent wind noise than other helmets I’ve worn so the aero design must be helping, and yet it’s still well ventilated. Love it.

Catalin It's my second Met Rivale helmet and very happy with its performance in terms of comfort, ventilation and looks. It is mostly the same helmet as Manta, the difference being the number and location of the vents.

Mr Harper Great fitting helmet, feels really snug all around my head. I went for the Matt black option, expecting it to be all Matt but it is just the middle section that is Matt and the smaller side sections are a shiny polished look. Still, looks good and feels good on my head.
