Arrived in good time. Having previous had Garmin device and being let down by software updates not supporting it I decided to try alternatives. Instructions no use but managed to fathom out most of what to do. Overall a good device.
This is the 3rd Mio GPS I have owned and I have always found them to be easy and intuiative to use. The 315 doesn't disappoint in this regard. It is very quick to set up, picks up a satellite very quickly and reports all the metrics that are important. Highly recommended.
Great cycling gadget. Never get lost again. The surprise me mode is amazing!!
Really good service from Merlin & quick to post. 5*****
Tricky software set-up. You had to patch the MIO prior to downloading the update on a Windows 10 machine. Luckily I had several other machines pre Win 10 patched to update the Mio with but it was a real pain. Mio is easy to use and the touchscreen is quite responsive. There is a slight delay while the Mio thinks about the route but it will start eventually. Guidance is clear, although bright sunlight can wash the screen out a bit. I have so far had 3 test rides of varying distance and the Mio has coped with changes in route (diversions) forced upon it and quick route changes made during the journey for sight-seeing purposes. I had read that the touchscreen was rain sensitive so I have mine in a waterproof pouch. The screen still responds fine under the clear plastic window. Battery life appears adequate, have ridden for 3 to 4 hours without serious battery fade which is fine for me. The 'surprise me' function is great and the create a ride function based on desired calorie burn or distance and even low-traffic preferences are good. GPX maps can be uploaded into the device (I have done this for two tracks so far) and it has been quite painless (there are numerous websites showing you how to do this and create your own and with pre-entered tracks, fill your boots!). Pretty basic mounting bracket and tie-wrap affair might make you nervous, especially if you are offroading and crashing around. The Mio is a real confidence booster if you are prone to get lost and don't want the hassle of stopping and opening maps
Very clear and simple to set up and use and I find it more accurate than my Garmin.
I decided to go for this device after watching reviews on youtube by Sick biker.
